Post by: viper215 on January 11, 2007, 07:31:32 PM
Does anyone get IP banned sometimes for no reason on the fourms??? Just happened to me and I only made a comment that was like 4 words long and no bad things in it...this was today...It usualy lasts for like 15mins and then I can get on but does anyone get weird IP bans from sight??? Or is HTC trying to tell me something ;)

I had the same problem earlier from work...  If I went to the "Forum Jump" and just selected where I wanted to go it seemed to work fine though.

I don't know if I could post or not, because I didn't make one.

Unfortunately, you ran into an AOL proxy which had been blocked.  I have removed it.  We actually work at blocking open proxies, but AOL actually supports them.  Not one of thier better ideas.

And Comcast simply allows its customers to run open proxies, so you can inadverntly find yourself running into a blocked IP address.
