Title: No banner Link to HTC forums not working now????
Post by: Reschke on January 12, 2007, 01:34:03 PM: I use this link all the time to not have a banner at the top of the page.

Now I get a message that says the forum has moved and I get redirected to one with the AH2 banner at the top. I am whining since I would rather have more space to view threads that see three planes in formation.

Post by: Schatzi on January 12, 2007, 04:28:06 PM: If you right click and "Open in new window" any link on the Forum, you get it without the top bar.... all you have to do then is click on the link for the main page at the top "Aces High BB".....

It took just a few mins for your reply, thank you, it's nice to have this new link. Now I can get back to some serious BB reading.

Oh yes, I'm curious, how did you know about this link for the full page? I couldn't find it; not even close.

If you are using firefox, right click on the part you want to be fullscreen, and select "this frame -> open in new window", then look at the URL in the address bar.

As far as firefox goes.... I am about to start using it now, as the recent update I did for Internet Explorer was such a bust. It is now time for firefox.

The redirect was causing problems with people who had thier broswer set to automatically log them into the bulletin board.

When we moved the board, all the cookies changed. So the auto-login would be broken. I got buried with emails about it, so I took the redirect completely out of the loop.

If the home page menus are showing a bad link, it is due to the browser caching the page. Flush your browser cache and it should correct that problem.

It was the old direct link just as you mention. In that case don't worry about it I have the change now. Thanks again to HT and for your explaining it.
