Could this be another reason to avoid Jiffy Lube? I would be so pissed if I were the owner of the car! OMG! :rofl

I'm confused as to how you are holding Jiffylube accountable for the drivers obvious ignorance...

better Rip, MP4 must be on a roll today..;)
and yes, what Slug said, as I attempted to post in your other misguided post. How is this Jiffy Lube's fault. I drive my own car into the stall for my oil change. I dont use Jiffy Lube though, I dont trust the guys that run the local Jiffy Lube.

Because most of the time they don't let you drive the car in yourself so that was probably one of their employees. At least most shops won't anymore.

I will say one thing though, that employee guiding the car in to the stall gives some crappy hand signals

The Jiffy lube at our location has a staging area. The JL employees drive the car into the garage, probably for the safety of their employees. (Shrugs) not sure if this was the owner or not, but I assumed it was a JL employee based on their standard procedure at our nearby store. (Shrugs)

Oh, I see. I've never had an employee drive my car into the stall. I didn't know they did that. I have heard horror stories about quick change places (not necessarily Jiffylube). One involved a cross threaded drain plug on a brand new car that required a new oil pan (which the warranty wouldn't cover and oil change place refused to accept responsibility for) and the other was a pick-up truck that ceased two miles from the oil change place because the the geniuses remembered to drain the old oil but forgot to put new oil in.

I've heard the stories and seen the damages, the place I go to is a small Mom&Pop operation, I not only drive my car in, I stay in the stall while they're doing the work, and when ever they have new guy workin I watch him real close ;)

Looked like the driver went in to fast, and wasn't paying attention to the guide... The hand signal did seem a bit odd. But he was trying to wave him off..

I have never had any quick-change place drive my car into the bay. It must be a liability thing in certain areas.
I have always used Valvoline, but I definitely will not use Jiffy-Lube after the fraud uncovered in CA in recent years.
