can you be more specific?

I'm assuming you've got it set for autotakeoff here?

If your using auto takeoff, don't touch your stick or rudder controls.  If it still cuts out, check your calibration that your stick and rudder are centered.

Your throttle is closed. You have to give the plane some gas.

Discopants,

What kind of controller are you using? Mouse or Joystick?

Also, did you set either of those up yet? If not, check the Trainer Corps Homepage (link in my sig) for info on how to set up either controller. That page also contains a lot more writeups on game interface, flying tactics and gameplay.

When you spawn in autotakeoff mode, you still have to start the engine manually and also throttle up manually (keyboard command for full throttle is SHIFT = but only unless you have a throttle lever somewhere else on stick or a mouse wheel). Do not move any controls while you do it though, as that automatically turns off the autotakeoff at any time.

If you have a Joystick and dont touch it, but the autotakeoff (or any autopilot for that matter) do not stay on, your joystick is spiking (ie sends irregular input where there is none). Go to OPTIONS > CONTROLS > Calibrate Stick and recalibrate it. If that doesnt help, youll need to add some deadband to the X and Y axis in the Map Controller > ADVANCED setup. Check the Stick Setup help file again for how to do that.

Last but not least, if you have trouble setting things up, you can always ask the Trainer Corps for help - well meet you online (that will trigger your free trial though!) and help/talk you through setup and any problem you might have. Contact us through email (dont forget your ingameID, times youre available including time zone, and a quick description of your problem) to Trainers @ hitechcreations.com or through the Request Form (http://www.netaces.org/trainers/requestform/requestform.html) on our homepage.

Welcome to AH2! :)
