I am no pilot but is it not dangerous to fly that close behind a large cargo plane in a jet...?

It's probably less dangerous than in-flight refueling.

Post by: Mark Luper on January 13, 2007, 11:58:59 PM: I think the second photo is as close as the jet got to the 130. The other two are just too close, the last one especialy, there wouldn't have been enough airflow to keep the jet flying and the blockage of intake air to the engines would have been considerable.

Just guessing here, Yeager may be right.
