Title: Possible problem with Throttles in new patch
Post by: Cartint on January 14, 2007, 04:24:23 PM
Since the new patch (5 I think it was) three of us in our sqaud with ST290s have had no throttle control.  RPM and Engine OK.  For a while I could not fly (a blessed day for some I am sure), but after several re-cals - the joy stick returned to "normal" and the throttle control (**** +, or just +) just got stuck on full open.  So I can take off now - but I (and my other two squad members) have to kill our engines in order to land.  Are other people having this problem?

Well I use an ST290 and I don't have any throttle problems with it. I think I remember though that after the patch came out, the throttle function got unmapped somehow on my stick. Try going into Map Controllers to see if it's still mapped, and if it is, unmap it and remap it. That works for me sometimes when my stick is being funny.

Nope - it didn't work.  unset key mapping and re-applied - still a problem.  Does anyone have any other ideas?

Here is the reply I got from HTC:

Did you check to see if the command 'Throttle 1' is actually mapped the the throttle axis of the joystick?  The joystick overrides the keyboard commands.  If you do not map the command then it will not work.

This was the issue.:)
