Title: How about Seafire L III for late war.

Seafire L III was the late war Seafire variant.  Seafire had clipped wings, higher rate of climb, and a maximum speed same as A6M5.  Seafire L III would be a great match against the A6M5.  In fact the very last air battle of WWII was between the A6M5s and Seafire IIIs @ Tokyo bay.

Max range:   725 miles

time-to-altitude:  8.1 mins to 20,000 ft.

This is a clipped wing spit for the sea!  This plane does not unbalance the carrier plane set.  Just like all spitifires, this seafire L III is short range compare to A6Ms and F4Us.  The performance is only good at low alt, mediocre at mid alt, and worse at high alt.

is it just me or do those flaps look like they are almost vertical....

Are they ment to be down that far ?

It's basically an airbrake.  I don't recall spitfires having flaps.

Spits have landing flaps.

Would prefer they fix the current Seafire first.

But yes the L III which is a mid-war (end 1943), not late war, Seafire would be nice.

First handful (<10) of Seafire III were F III, but it was realised that the Merlin 55M was a better motor, so rest were all L III.
Some of the original F III were re-fitted with Merlin 55M, a few retained the original motor and were given cameras and re-desginated FR III.

IIc - Out of all the originally built as Seafires (not converted Vbs) we have the rarest least used version.
Been asking for ages for them to put in the Merlin 32, the Merlin 46 was only fitted for approx 2-3 months up to Nov 42.
From then on they all had the Merlin 32, and ALL the original Merlin 46 birds were re-fitted with the Merlin 32.

With a Merlin 32 it would only need two minor model changes -
4 bladed prop.
6 seperate exhaust stacks.

Clipped Seafires weren't that uncommon either.
Posted a pic way way back of a flight deck full of clipped wing Seafire L III's.

With the LIIc (Merlin 32) and L III in the game you now have Seafires from Nov 42 right up to the end of the war.
At the end of the war there were 12 Seafire sqns -
8 with the L III
4 with the L IIc

[edit] found this video of Seafires during WW II, look close at first one off the deck it's an L III with drop tank.
