Colts vs Bears in the SB

Colts then win a boring SB 41-3

Dunno if it will be Colts (sure hope so), but agree Super Bowl will be boring after the close tussles leading up to it.  Actually, the Super Bowl already happened: New England beat San Diego.

Pats and Saints. (If the Seahawks can almost beat the bears with a QB who had two broken fingers on one hand, and a Loan officer and Hunting guide for 2 cornerbacks, then the Saints should handle the cubs just fine...)

I'll take Brady over Brees any day.

Dred, my wife seems to think the Saints will win due to the "Katrina Factor", whether they win the games, or the refs win it for them. :rofl

Im seeing Bears win over Saints knowing the fact that the Saints have never played in temperatures under 39 degrees this season according to what was said during the Seahawks vs Bears game.  Playing in that cold of weather will have an effect on the Saints as they play where its warm.  It didnt phase the Seahawks because they have played in the cold.  It should be another cold day in Chicago coming into the Saints vs Bears game.

Im seeing Colts over Patriots seeing the fact that the Colts D have found their identity.  The defense has been good against the KC and the Ravens.  If the defense can come in to NE like they have been playing they will win with a potent offense.  Having the weapons that Indy has on offense it should be a rouch day for the Patriots.

Its all pretty much lagniappe for the Saints now. No one here realistically expected them to win more than 6 games this year. Now they're one game from the Superbowl. 32 degrees is not that cold. Haven't you been outside working and taken off your coat in 32 degree weather? Its cold when you first walk out into it, but once you start moving around, its not bad. Its certainly not an Icebowl.

I may be foolishly optimistic, but I dreaded the game with the  Eagles more than the game with Bears. I think the Saints match up much better with the Bears. That Eagles game was scary.

Regardless of what happens, you won't hear any excuses about it being too cold or the field being too soft. I don't expect the Bears to play as bad as they did against Seattle. I think its going to be a very close game, and the winner is going to earn that Superbowl spot.

I'd like to the see the Saints and the Colts for the city's sake.

I am surprised at the Patriot picks. Indy has beat them the last two times in New England w/o working a sweat. Now they are playing at home in the dome, no snow, no cold. And they are playing their best football at the right time. The Patriots are still turning the ball over(which is why I thought they would be done by now), it has been a problem all season and nothing has changed.

I don't see Indy making the same bonehead plays handing them the game. And don't bring up past playoff games, it means nothing at this point.

Actually,  play off experience and Superbowl seasoned veterans means EVERYTHING at this point.

But, you're correct about Indy's advantage, I'm just hoping the Pats win. :aok

Frankly, this is all part of the Bush Conspiracy.

Anyone who follows football knows that the Saints Suck. This is a FACT. It's indsiputable. Football Law Chapter 1 Section 21 clearly states: The New Orlean Saints SUCK. (1) No really, they suck. (a) Seriously.

It is also indisputable FACT that the New England Patriots can not possibly continue to win for this long, in the Salary Cap ERA.

So the ONLY possible conclusion that can be drawn is conspiracy!

Bush wants war in Iran. So he's orchestrating a New Orleans (The New "America's Team" tm) New England (With All American Tom Brady) Superbowl, which will then be blown up by an "Iranian" Nuke. Thus paving the way for the US to attack Tehran.

THERE IS NO OTHER EXPLAINATION!!!11!1

New England all the way -- accept the inevitable.   :D

Best games in the whole playoffs: Patriots-Chargers and Patriots-Colts.  Only an El Nino Comet Tsunami can prevent another AFC victory in the Super Bowl.

If the Super Bowl is even close it will be only to keep us tvidiots running up the repetitive ad count to generate record revenue.

It's gonna be hard for the Pats to beat the Colts at home. Even with Manning playing lousy.

I think it will be Bears v Colts.   Colts win.

Actually, I didn't spend anything this season. Instead I invested Heavily on college football. I have a ton of SMU Mustang gear now lol. Talk about a perinial loser.

However, over the course of the past five years I've received a few Charger bits as gifts. 2 Jerseys, 3 hats and a coffee cup. I also have a 40th Anniversary Tee Shirt and a Tim Dwight Jersey that I picked up back in '02.

I think that's it.

not bad!  Wife has bought the oldest kid a jersy, herself one, a blanket, and I've got a T-shirt.  I don't like spending my money on NFL gear, I feel like sometimes I'm subsidizing current or future hardcore criminals. :lol

I'll be rooting for da Bears... but unless Rexy Boy has a really, really "Good Rex" day the bears are overmatched by NO. The defense has been thinned out compared to earlier in the season, offensive line similarly and Rex, on a bad day (just flip a coin) has an easier time hitting defensive backs than he does receivers. The special teams are still great, but miracle games don't come along evey Sunday.

Lets see..

It snowed on Christmas day in New Orleans in 2004. Then there was the Hurricane in 2005. If the Saints get to the Superbowl in 2007, I think its safe to expect Armageddon in 2008...

lol, just listening to an 'expert' on the radio. Says the Bears are gonna let the soldier field grass grow to slow the Saints down. Umm, it's the middle of winter in Chicago...nothing is growing! What a handsomehunk.

Colts can't lose now, Bill Polian is already working the officials, says the Colts could have scored TD's if the officials didn't let the Raven's defense do whatever they want to the receivers. Colts by 14.

Arrrrrrrg  The higher they lift you up, the farther they drop you.

It was a great season, but I'm still wondering why Coach Payton decided to bench Deuce in this game:furious  :O

Deuce won the Eagles game. This game with a muddy field, coach Payton decides to pass every down and make the team one dimensional. I think he coached a stinker.

Great results, Chicago and Indianapolis!

I want Indy to win the Super Bowl but I will not jinx them by predicting they will.

Hope thread starter Sixpence is right.

Congrats Colts! Patriot fans got nothing to complain about, we were treated to two great games the last two weeks. Indy was the better team, they played an awesome game, and now Manning will no longer have to hear the crap about not winning the big game.(but I still hate Bill Polian :D )

I don't think Chicago has a chance, it might be 41-3 in the third quarter. I hate to see a boring SB, but that's the way I see it.

BTW, if New Orleans won the NFC(let alone the SB), it very well could have sparked a Detroit like scene, cars being flipped, burning, looting. Wouldn't have been such a feel good story then, and probably would have hurt fund raising efforts.

I can't believe I actually called both games.

I always hate watching the Colts in the first half. They almost always suck.

I figure the SB will be Bears winning in the first half and the Colts winning the game.

Depends of course on which Manning and defense shows up.
