Title: New X-52 PRO version
Post by: 38ruk on January 16, 2007, 09:47:06 PM
It has a dual spring setup in the stick for a tighter feel , and a few more improvements over the original X-52 , including an updated MFD (multi functional display) that actually can be programed .

It also has more metal components, I believe. The downside is a hefty price tag. If I won any stickset in the world free of charge in some wierd type of lottery, I'd pick the X52 Pro (and a set of pedals).

where did you see the price?

I'm sure the combo will be cheaper than its CH counterpart

Price directly from Saitek is $200 but available at Gogamer.com for $179 although I don't know about other offers.  The original X-52 is down to $100 now with the pro version out, it may go lower.  Expect to see more discounts of the Pro later.

The normal X-52 is holding about $130-$150. I've not seen any as low as $100 yet. Then I'm not really shopping around (can't even afford that yet)

This stick also uses Hall effect sensors for the X and Y axis. This means no worn or dirty pots, no spiking.

Amazon has the X-52 for $99.99.  Nerds.net has it for $95.20.  Nerds also has the Saitek rudder pedals for only $116 versus direct from Saitek at $149.  Really good deals but I don't know how nerds is to deal with for on-line purchases.  They also have the Thrustmaster Cougar Stick and Throttle for about  $175.   They don't appear to carry the CH stick everyone here loves.
