I'm doing a project on the video game industry. Does anybody have a link that can point me to sales figures for this industry.
Also, I remember reading that the video game industry recently passed the movie industry in revenue. Does anyone know where I can find a source that confirms that?
Thanks...

Coincidentally, I just finished a project on the very same thing. I found some great links, too.
Top Ten Facts (http://www.theesa.com/facts/top_10_facts.php) - On the left side of this page click "Sales & Genre Data" to see some graphs and charts on sales in 2005 and industry growth since 1996.
ESA Essential Facts (http://www.theesa.com/archives/files/Essential%20Facts%202006.pdf) - This one is a 16 page PDF that goes into a little more detail than the Top 10 list.
EA's SEC filings (http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/712515/000089161805000406/0000891618-05-000406-index.htm) - This is a very in-depth report on EA's finances. It doesn't necessarily pertain to the industry as a whole, but it gives you an idea just how big some of these companies really are.
I also had some New York Times articles, but I can't access them anymore since I'm not registered on their website. I believe one of those answered your second question.
I have many, many more, but most of them have to do with the history of the industry and EA in particular.

Thanks...Great!!!
One more thing, does anybody know the story of an Airforce pilot in training who used Microsoft Flight Simulator to become the first person in US Airforce history to make a perfect score in flight school?
If anyone knows where I can find that story, then that would be great!
