I’m on dial-up and occasionally lose UDP. After a minuet or two the connection will reestablish on TCP or there is a Disco. During that minuet, while the network gods are deciding my fate, everyone else disappears from my FE. If the connection comes back, there is a fury of activity as aircraft warp in all directions for about five seconds before things settle down. I have had it happen in a furball and I just keep jenking and hope for the best if the connection comes back. The other day I had it happen while in bombers. A 190 was 4.5k back and closing. I’m sitting in the tail of a B-24 waiting for him. When he got to 3.0k I lost UDP and he disappears. Is my connection coming back? Can he close the distance in the next minuet? Has he already killed me? When the connection did return, he warped to my high 5 o’clock at 2.5k and then back to 3.0k on my six. When things settled down he was just a dot at my six descending and turning back to his field. So what did he see on his end?

Machnix, i think in most cases the guy just sees you continuing on the flight vector that you were on when you (temporarily) lost connection.

and then warp magically to where he had been flying to on his FE...

He doesn't see anything, he's too busy screaming "CABLE PULLRRR!!11!one" on 200.
