Show your Joe's if ya gott'em.

How does this episode end?
-
I think in the next frame, the girl's little stick or umbrella is firmly swung into Joe's groin. That's why she's still smiling, because she knows what's coming next.
-
And back on topic, I don't have a pic of it or have it with me but I have a neat cast pilot figure. I think it's hand-painted cast resin but I'm not sure. It's pretty detailed though.
-
why does Joe have a Flava Flave dogtag?
-
your GF got you a doll for xmas?
-
In the words of bart simpson to comic book man.
"You took it out of its original packaging"
:p
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
How much did it cost... What year is it from...
-
I think yer GF is trying to give you a hint somewhere here...
yep a deep subliminal message here... lets attempt to break this down in terms you may understand...
During the Season to be "Jolly" she gives you an "Action Figure"...
:(
A "Sailor" "Action Figure"...
A "Manly" "Sailor" "Action Figure"...
:huh
Sailors are reffered to as "Squids"... this is one "Squid" from "Years Ago"...
:O
With that said...here is the breakdown...
"Yer Old Squid is no longer HER Action Figure as it was once years ago.... so she gave it to you in a polite way of saying Go Play with yourself. You will soon to sent sailing away while she waits for HER Fleet to come in."
:cry
Yep that's it...
:aok

If you dress that way these days, and hang out downtown SF area, you become a swallowing Seaman.

plus I ordered a bunch of parts to kitbash, for my Red Orchestra avatard in 1/6th scale format.

About 12 years ago my mom got me this for x-mas. I have no idea why.

-
OMG! The Sgt. Savage P-40 can fire 4 of its 6 40mm gatlin gun barrels at once! And it has 8 freakin 20mm wing guns that all fire at once! That plane rules!
-
Your GF either knows you well, or has a very good mind for giving interesting gifts.
Now, for fun, say to her "Wow, I can get a good price for this on ebay". :D
-
anyone notice the similarities with our current situation? I grew up with the 80's GI Joe...A small highly technical Army that was huntin a force of bumblin terrorists. The bad guys were well well funded and had an illusive leader that could never be caught.....hmmmmmm
COOOBRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA....hiss sssss
-
And I grew up in the 60's when GI Joe was a giant with huge arsenals and humongous accessories.
Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm.
-
Still have my first from my 5th birthday in 1965. Broke his hand the first day. It's since been replaced. He's not in bad shape for being 42 years old :)
-
Got my first Joe in 1972. He had his very own jeep and helicopter.
He was chewed to death one day by the dog so all I have left is his uniform.
Replacement arrived with "kung fu" grip. He disappeared in the early 80's while I was doing real soldier stuff. One of my nephews must have adopted him. I still have his uniforms and equipment in the wood GI Joe footlocker.
When 12" GI Joes came back around in the mid 90's I bought two and collected up every pack of equipment I could find.
Looks like they're getting scarce again. At Christmas they had very little at Toys R Us for 12" GI Joe.

Modern 12" figures have come along way since the originals
there are ones like these (http://www.dragon-models.com/catalog/figure_pics/) out now.
Opening pouches, accurate to scale uniforms, weapons with removable clips and spring loaded bolts. They are very cool. I have about 40 now.

For those of us who grew up with the original Joe's, the new stuff just isn't the same deal. Guess it's the nostalgia factor. My son had some of the Dragon made stuff. It looks great and has great detail, but it isn't Joe :)

I still got some Joes, I have the same nostalgia for the 3'3/4"th Joes that was my era

Interesting thread. Didn't realize these things were collectables. I remember my oldest grandson playing with them.
When I grew up I never played with dolls but then I don't remember them being available either.
