Evening all,
Just had one of THE funnest days of my short life,
Travelled up to RAF Wyton,
Was going there for my usual twice a month Junior Air corps. air exprience flight, a 40-60 min aerobatic flight in an RAF tutor plane with an old falklands veteran, as we approached the hangar for the 1st sortie the hangar was unusually busy, hmmmmm.......
entered the large hangar to see 4 tornado's and 4 harriers,,
i asked 'Logan'(my tutor) where our bird was
he simply pionted at the jet aircraft, the four of us 15 year olds at first thought this was some kind of joke,
But as we were given our briefing,
we were told that these birds had been sent up for some cockpit regeneration from all sorts of places round the globe,
and that they werent due for the work till monday,
and they felt we had more than enough aviation experience to co pilot the harriers which were special two-seater models,
u can imagine the jaws dropping, we were fine taking off and flying our propellor powered aircraft... but this
obviuosly landing and take-off was taken off our hands but once we were up, it was all mine........
And the best thing......... all payed for by her majesty the queen!:lol
arrived back at school just as the lessons had finished,
wooooh!
<<>>:aok
