funny thing about the above..........
i've been here for about 6 or 7 months.......as i got better, i noticed that more and more that i've been dyin by the HO or by a ramming.........and have watched people run for help too.......
the whole problem with this.......i still realluy suck bad for the most part......couldn't hit water if i fell outta boat....but these guys see a 38 commin at em, and immediatly turn in for the HO////and i've found that no matter what i do to avoid the HO, i end up gettin kilt........unles i turn away while they're outta range/////////
-
Well, the HO is a annoying manoeuvre in game, but in real life it couldn't always be avoided.
I think it'd be a good idea to try and HO with a plane with superior fire power, no matter how nasty the manoeuvre :)
-
Gunnery was far harder in reality, for a large number of reasons. Therefore, a head-on would a lot easier to dodge in a real airplane.

I really like the composition bat! WTG.
Too Bad the finished Video quality sucks so badly.
You are using Windows Movie and i assume FRAPS?
I captured/edited a movie via FRAPS and Windows Movie maker.
Uploaded to my server...and cant get it to play.
Do i need it converted from .WMV to AVI or what?
Thanks
-
wow mugz really? i thought that at the default 100% size 780X460 or whatever it is, the quality is perfect, and even at full screen the images are pretty sharp on my PC.
used fraps and sony vegas.
how was the visual for everyone else?
for me its almost crystal clear hence a 3 min film @ 40mb.
you want things to be in .WMV for the most part, my computer doesnt even play AVIs since i factory restored it.
edit: i just watched it again, are you sure youre watching the right film?? :)
the quality at 200% film size in windows media play is as good as the quality in game, i cant understand why it doesnt look good on your, wierd.
anyone else have that problem?
-
Looks pretty good to me, quality-wise.
-
ah, sorry mugz i am at a loss as to how to sort that out, stumped
-
Maybe my video...but it isnt the picture quality/clarity that is in question.
I get little stutters and the transistions between clips arent smooth.
I guess my other question is how do i prepare it so that when the link is clicked here...it opens Media Player and begins the buffer sequence?
-
ahh the problem was the conempory white washed canvas that i painted and called 'canvas with white paint'.
not a hollywood movie type me, more some wierd french producer whos films would not be watched by many people, and at first glance look like a thrown together mess, but the more you watch it the more it all makes sense :noid
-
I take it your answer is, You dont know?
-
right click and 'save target as' is quicker, the buffer method will take alot longer and you wont see it in more than 5 second bursts as you are watching it as you download it.
save it to desktop then when its done watch it without the pauses, then you can slam it right in the recycle bin where it belongs.
-
OMG...we could be more on different pages if we tried! LOL
I know about Save Target...and prefer not to use it.
It buffers very fast for me.
I was actually having trouble linking a film of my own and didnt know why.
I figured it out... I was missing a letter that was in CAPS in the file.
Example would be like this.
http://www.yadyada.com/movie.wmv when it shoulda been
http://www.yadyada.com/Movie.wmv
I had screwed up and forgot to CAP the "M" in the file link.
Thanks for the reply though.
As for the quality....I think it is real good...but i do notice subtle stutters and asumed it was at the Clip merges of the film.
But anyhow..It is nice..just not as smooth as some i have seen.
Im sure it is software related.
Thanks

lol as perceptive as a frog in a milky pond i am, a blind frog :)
generaly in my films i try to make the best of the limited view options to show ACMs and not close up killshots and the like, which look alot better for a hollywood style film, but dont maybe have the same meaning.
99% of external shots in are done with the F5 fixed view, and alot of zoom, whilst trying to find the right angles and pans to keep the heavily szoomed camera on shot with 2 planes.
i think this is what you mean, and i agree, but i happily sacrifice the eye candy of close in shots for the ACM view that the far out ones give.
