Title: wireless conections

ok another silly question

I got a wireless laptop and i got a wire less router for it i have set it up as in the instructions but most of the time it says it cant find the wireless net work?
 even when it is 2 feeet from it?

 any ideas i know the router and the pc are both working  just being a pain in the ass

Most routers will come with the wireless option turned off.  you have to get into the router configuration to turn this option on.
