Hitech, salute sir, i thought you might like to see this....and please culd you explain it to us..
"Rounds in the breach (or) OMFG B3ST SHOT EVAR!!!!" (http://www.freeroleentertainment.com/WOWshot.ahf)
check out the ammo counter before and after the F4U goes down.
thank you!
-
Nice, unlimited ammo in the MA, not to mention a perfectly timed shot.
-
here is the film of the whole sortie, where the ammo, sadly, runs out very quickly :D

It's not unlimited ammo in the MA. Just a bug that the film viewer will often miss very short bursts in updating the ammo counter. It catches up eventually when you shoot some more.
BTW, if your intent is to report a bug there is a forum for that. Otherwise, nice shot. Maybe "best shot evar!" material but definitely not the best shot ever.
-
lol thank you pyro
(he said it was 'best shot evar!1' material, please note )
:D
-
that was a real 'WOW' moment there B@t

Bat, after going 1on1 with you tonight, I have to say this is more likely the norm than the exception.. Good flying!
-
very kind sirs!
rockdog that fight was me163 vs you in A6m, we rolled this way and that for a good minute before you ended on my tail perfectly, i had to use every last bit of rocket power to escape, the salute goes to you for that fight.

evidently it has to do with a p38 and a panzer........:D

possible arguement over the best shot ever. It simply goes to the only man who got an airplane perked. Torque and the "rotating" F4U-C". To call Torque a HO artist would be unfair. He simply had un uncanny ability to use the hogs rudder to pull lead at uncanny angles....very often depositing a well timed burst of 20mm at insane range and angle. Often knocking down 5, 10 or 15 guys in a single sortie at ranges of 800 or more on "onetimers" when he was on a roll. you could fight him 4-5 times in a row and never even get to the merge:O

Too bad I didn't record doing it. The secret is waiting till they're (ANY A/C) 2K out and lined up on you.
But to be honest with you, I can do it about 1 in 5 times, so it must be a glitch in the system.

I once took out a buff with a shore battery round. I was shooting GV's with it and when I zoomed back out there was a set of low level lancs inbound along the spawn line. The gun had traverse on the area between the spawn and base for a reasonable junk. I laid the gun back to where i'd been shooting and bumped the elevation (I had written range numbers for my ranging shot down) a bit and one timed it....of course i've futilly shot at planes in shore battery ever since......
-
lol snap
this one time i was trying to roll a heavy hog from a CV, and got nailed on th deck by a shore batter no less than 5 times in a row before the cv turned and i got off in time.
was a guy called 'GenralX' man that guy was deadly with the shore battery. range must have been close to 8k.

Anyone remember the 262 vs. 262 kill Tac posted ages ago? 1 round fired from about a click away as the victim extended. Was funny watching the tracer just keep going and going. Lucky as hell but quite the shot.
BTW I completely agree about Festerbria and Torque. I had the misfortune of encountering Torque on an alarmingly frequent basis when I first started playing AH almost 7 years ago (gawd has it really been that long?). As a result I still take a certain sense of glee whenever I shoot an F4u. He made the already steep learning curve seem more like a wall to me.
Fester was a squaddie of mine for quite a while. Flying with him was very educational and great for the assist/death ratio! :D Great flyer and a great shot.
