Title: AH Access Problem

Ok, I have had some problems with my computer with the hybris virus, and it is now gone.  But, I am now having problems accessing main AH (not AHDX8).  

I have uninstalled/removed all files and reinstalled, no good.  What is weird is that I can access the game offline, but am unable to go online.  When I click online, I immediately crash to desktop.  Any help would be appreciated.  :)

Hmm, odd.  First I would try rebooting after installing AH.  After that (since it probably won't work  ;) ) I'd read the directions in the "sounds" thread to extract a copy of the wsock32.dll file from your windows CD.  It's possible this didn't get repaired completely.  (Did you say the DX8 beta works? )  That hybris virus does some really odd things to AH, for one thing I found temporary AH files in my windows/system directory.  It's hard to tell just how much damage this virus can do to your system.

You might try giving HT himself a call tommorow if you can't get it figured out.
