A few things I'd like to see added to the game, and why I'd like to see them. I tried to come up with good reasons to add each to the plane set, not just "I like this".
#1 Perked A-26B and C Invader bomber.
Details in other threads, but this high performance medium bomber/attack plane is the ultimate WWII attack plane in the B-configuration, and superior penetration bomber in the C-configuration.
Given this one bomber with multiple configurations, gives the buff drivers one (or possibly 2, depending on how presented) bomber(s) to spend buff perkies on, that is not a B-29 or existing Ar-234. Possilbly limit number of bomb-and-bail buff drivers who don't care for the Ar-234 and buff perks. Faster and carries more ord than Ki-67 or B-26's, and B- configuration could have up to 14 forward firing .50's.
#2 Perked GERMAN 88mm GUN
Flak 18, 36, (or 37 AA only version), mounted to Sonderanhaenger 201 trailer with permanent tow vehicle attached. Could fire high explosive (HE), armour piercing (AP) or smoke shells, and be used in AA role. With APCBC, it could penetrate 130 mm of armour at 1500 yards. Not very maneuverable or fast, very vulnerable to incoming fire of any kind, but effective in defense to snipe at range, bombard towns, and force buffs to higher altitudes.
Vertical range 37,000 feet
Horizontal range 16,000 yards
Rate of fire 15 to 20 rounds per minute.
Gives the GVr's another vehicle to spend GV perks on, forces bombers off the deck. Finally have the King of the Battlefield, Artillery, represented in AHII..... but limited use by perk costs.
#3 P-39 Airacobra OR P63 Kingcobra
Also see thread elsewhere on details. Half the P39's and nearly all P63's were flown by Russia. Give the EW another plane. Give the Russians another plane for their plane set. I'd recommend it be given a Soviet skin, in recognition of the Lend-Lease Act, and that the second highest Allied Ace was Aleksandr Ivanovich Pokryshkin, and he reportedly flew the P-39 throughout the war (although some sources state he moved to the P63 late in the war).
#4 Lightly Perked Fiat G.55/I Centauro
Reportedly a better fighter than Bf109G's were. Only 130 produced, and limited operations before the armistice, but give Luffenwaffle pilots a 109 better than the 109 (and not another 109) for small perk points, 3-20's and 2 13mms made for a good bomber interceptor. Give the Italians what was probably their best WWII fighter.
#5 Yokosuka D4Y Suisei (彗星, "comet") "JUDY"
Maximum speed: 342 mph (550 km/h) Range: 910 miles (1,465 km)
Two fuselage-mounted 7.7 mm Type 97 machine-guns and one rear-firing flexible 13 mm Type 2 machine-gun,
Bombload: normal: 310 kg; maximum: 560 kg; suicide: 800 kg (don't see this option being included).
The CV fleet could use a more effective attack plane in their planeset, and the Japanese planeset is kinda limited. A faster, more survivable carrier-based dive bomber. Half the bomb capacity of TBM. The option for 3 RATO boosters for short takeoffs (or with max bomb load). may be fun too. 2,038 were produced during the war.
Those are the Five I'd like to see the most at this point, and my reasons for each.
There are MANY planes that could be added to the game. Tempted to add the Yak 3, but the P-39/63 gives more variety. I tried getting away from the American, German, and British planeset which are rather well represented, but the Bell submission can be justified in Russian planeset, and I can't find another bomber from WWII we could add for buff perks to be spent on outside of the B-29 (not getting), or the He-177 with it's guided ord (which we are not getting). He-188 brought up in another thread, but I don't feel it's good enough to be an effective buff perk point economy sink. Italian bomber too much like the B-17. Russian bombers not that perk-worthy, IMHO.
Can't see adding the night fighters, as we don't have night in the arenas.

Great choices Tedrbr

I like your choices. The towed 88 is an interesting idea.
Just off the top of my head, the ones I'd like to see.
Japan:
Ki-43
G4M
Ki-44
J2M
Ki-100
Ki-102
I've always been a fan of Japanese planes and these would add much needed variety and capability for Japan. The Ki-43 and G4M saw alot of action and would fill big holes in the early war planeset.
The Ki-44 and J2M help fill out mid-late war and to me are more interesting and desirable than say another A6M version as they are unconventional for Japanese planes.
The Ki-100 is one of the most famous Japanese fighters of the war and would address the biggest shortcoming of the Ki-61(underpowered).
The Ki-102 would give the IJA a dedicated and very capable attacker.
Russia:
Pe-2
I'm not very knowledgable about Russian hardware but as I recall this one was one of their more important types and a decent performer. The VVS needs a bomber.
Germany:
Hs-129
He-111
Again a dedicated and capable attacker/close support aircraft in the Hs-129. The 190F leaves me a little unimpressed in this role. Maybe it's just me.
I know, another early war kite, but any BoB scenario just isn't right without an He-111 as far as I'm concerned.
Italy:
SM.179
It's Italian. It's a bomber. The tri-motor lay-out would be novel as well. I don't really see how this one would be similar to a B-17 exept in the most general terms. Couldn't it be armed with torpedoes too? Or am I thinking of something else?

The 190F8 is a GREAT close support plane....but you need to really practice with the 12 Pb1 rockets to be effective. They can knock out a tiger with 1 shot. :)
Though against buildings they take 4 to bring 1 down.

Yep!!! Not being able to have more than 1 pass on the hauling arse Ju88's in the BoB gets old fast :)

Panther: Its that damn good
T34 with the better package: Its a joke right now
B29: Because we dont have enough dive bombing larger bombers coming in on a cv yet.
Tiger 2( King Tiger ): Spawn campers beware.
88: I like the concept of the base defense it offers. Also Multi functional.
JU87 tank killer: Il2 is losing its flavor.
French Hookers : Hey we want it as real as possible, Moral was HIGH in france.
Multi Functional troops: Too many possibiliies to list.
Foxholes or Tank pits on bases: VH is already way too easy to camp.
Real Blast radius effect on ack: A 45 can kill the gunner but a 1000 pound bomb 40 feet away cant?
Ltar seeking ord: Come on you know you want it.

Guess what?
FAF Brewster B-239 (http://hkkk.fi/~yrjola/war/faf/brewster.html).
The highest K/D of WW2 fighters and highest K/D of single airframe.
:aok

i agree with the brewster and i agree with the he 111 this bomber ws seen everywhere through out the war.
my personal preference would be for the fairy swordfish,t went throughthe whole of the war and still did better the its replacments plus its a biplane, also the gloster gladiator and the fiat cr 42 all early war all biplanes but all would be good fun.
as for russians we need a i16 or a i153bis plus the pe2 bomber
also id like to see i romanian fighter iar80 or iar81

I like the Ju-87 Tank Buster idea. With the 2 wing mounted 37mm gun pod option, provides more punch than the 23mm on the Il-2

Forgot to mention it above, but I go into it in the Invader-thread, the A-26B Invader had the option for nose mounting (not counting wing guns or carried ord internally or wing mounted):
1 - 75mm w 20 rds and 2 x .50's (at least 30 production models of which were delivered to USAAF);
1 - 75mm w 20 rds and 1 - 37mm (not sure if ever fielded)
2 x 37mm (not sure if ever fielded)
6 X .50's w 400 rpg (early versions)
8 X .50's w 400 rpg (most common B-model)
Add two 37mm to a Stuka?.... might get it out of the Hangar more often. Definitely worth a shot.
