Whenever I look at the sunset/sunrise my framerate drops into single digits. This happens both in regular AH and the beta. Changing the view to something that doesn't display the sun's warming glow immediately causes the framerate to jump up into the upper 60's again. (1280x1024).
I have a Herc Prophet Kyro II 64mb with latest drivers and I have tried diffrent settings.

Never mind... Fixed it by disabling fast sideband adressing in bios...

S!
Hey..which MoBo do You have?Is it the FastWrite U disable?I had same problem with my Herc Kyro2 du´ring dawn/dusk.

I was overly optimistic :( It's back!! Tought disabeling fast write (or something - i'm to lazy to reboot and look) in my Abit K7A bios did it, but it was prolly just sunrise. I have no clue whats causing this... Sorry to disappoint u DB603 - Maybe an upcoming driver update can fix this? Haven't seen it in any other game, and its quite irritating :(

Same here guys...I have a kyroII and my FR plummets wuth the sunset...

This has been a problem for me with kyro since it came out.
There doesnt seem to be a fix for it other than selecting Shift F3 which bumps frame rate up alot but looks crap.
When I first got this problem I spent alot of time trying to fix it without success. Herc site was a waste of time.
Its something to do with the way the card handles that type of lighting effect.
I quite often log off at sunset sunrise times.
GF3 cards will soon be coming down in price now GF4 is out, the kyro will then be in the bin:D
