Will AH run on Microsoft Vista and a Intel Core 2 Duo processor?
-
Yes it does.
But...
Are you thinking about upgrading an existing XP installation or thinking of buying a whole new computer? If upgrading I'd stick with XP for AH unless you've got a really killer box AND killer graphics card. If you're thinking a whole new box with Vista you should get one with at least 2GB of ram and a really killer pci-e graphics card.
I dual boot and tried AH with Vista without really trying to tweak anything other than killing a few unneeded processes and it was perfectly playable but degraded somewhat FPS wise and my Realtek audio has some minor snap/crackle going on. I will continue to run AH under XP for awhile.

Windows Vista probably thought Aces High wasn't a secure sound destination so it degraded your sound quality (*snicker*)

It will depend on the drivers you have with Vista. I have reports of the game crashing, not running at all, and running fine. It will depend on the various drivers you have loaded.
If you have been running the game under Windows XP, then you should expect about a 20% drop in game performance running Aces High II under Vista.
It has nothing to do with the game.

Will ATI Radeon video cards work?
-
Both ATI and NVidia are very far behind in getting stable video card drivers out for Vista. NVidia's latest release yesterday adds SLI support for the 8800 card only.
ATI seems more stable, but just as far behind in getting drivers out.
Again though, expect significant performance reductions and reduced stability if you are used to XP and are switching to Vista.

Flying Fish
I just posted first impressions of playing the game using Vista on a core two machine in the hardware forum, for what its worth.
-
the drivers havent caught up for the ATi cards yet in vista ...
Nvidia and intel have been feeding M$ sheep so they got drivers already .
-
So should I get a GeForce card or ATI Radeon for Vista?
-
the only card out that made for vista is the nvidia 8800 ..
best to wait til vista matures ..
