Yeah it's the same here...
It should get interesting when it freezes tonight....
Good time to stay off the road around here...
:D
-
Starting to stick on the windshileds of the cars in the parking lot here and it is coming down harder. Tonight and tomorrow morning is not going to be pretty, as it pertains to driving/navigating around here.
-
well it was nice and sunny and warm here in Austin about an hour or so ago. Now its all cloudy dark and raining again

Albino brain chiggers in Texas?????? Nooooooooooooooooo
-
'West of the Rockies you're on Coast to Coast am...'
'ya um it George from Dallas do you think that since its snowing here that we're in endtimes? Or will the evil greys suck our souls out and take over our bodies first?'
By the way does Hitech make you risk life and limb to come in when there's ice on the roads or does he tell you to stay home?
-
I live 1.2 miles from the office and have a path with no over-passes. My car has traction control, ABS, stability control,..blah blah blah. I think it can drive me there while I am having my coffee.
If it gets bad enough fo me to not come in, then the rest of the Metroplex will probably have been completely destroyed.
-
Cloudy and cool here.
-
Nice to know we're safe Skuzz... I live 12 miles from work and have some big bridges to go over. Even though I can, and do, 99% of my job from home I get the evil eye if I call in due to weather, sickness, my kid needs a kidney transplant.. you get the drill :)

Maverick has a point. With all the transplants from California, the little buggers are probably getting really fed up with empty noggins. :D

A Blizzard of the 18-36" variety with whiteout conditions so I can have my ritual winter BBQ
BTW, Why you all so worried about overpasses?

We are not really geard up for snow and ice in these parts as it happens pretty infrequently. The overpasses freeze up and become extremely dangerous.

Dang it Max. I do have one, but it requires two free hands, a straight pin, and a microscope to operate those tiny buttons.

I beg to differ Red Tail. It is quite obvious you have never driven around Texas in the snow. It is a miracle we do not lose half the population to car wrecks.
Of course, that could be the half that has really screwed up this state.
Hmmm.... nevermind,...carry on. :)

:D
You're probably right
