Post by: Airscrew on February 01, 2007, 08:38:24 PM
Another one of my brother-in-laws, my wife's brother, retired Navy guy sent me these two links a few weeks ago.  everyonce in awhile I have to play them.   Its great to see these guys and gals having some fun.

I was AF but if I went Navy I would have want to be on an aircraft carrier

Maybe some of ya have seen these clips and then maybe some of you havent

That second one is a riot, funny stuff.

They couldn't pay me enough to be on a bird farm for any length of time.

NOOOOOO...only leads to more trouble.

I spent a week on the USS Kearsarge in September of last year.  That was as close to a carrier as I wanna get.

He was one squared away sailor.  He and I did the supply support for the division, as little as it was, that we were assigned to.  4 officers and 2 enlisted, thank god they were great to work for.  The AF major was a liaison watching the operations for the AF, great guy as well.

Hehehe, subtitles.

There's a saying in the navy; "everybody wants to be friends with a storekeeper".

I was dental supply, worked with the medical supply guys and had connections with the base supply guys.   one i heard was "the supply guy can be your best friend or your worst enemy"  it was amazing some of the stuff I traded for around on base.  You never know what someone is gonna need and are willing to trade for some old stuff you got that no one is using...:D

Well Air, I was the office puke for the entire cargo division on a cargo ship.  I had keys to every hold.  You have an idea how much I got solicited for a "hook up".  Of course, I never did that kind of thing.

Well ok, almost never.

;)  yea, wink, wink, nudge nudge.

traded some old used dental instrutments for some flak jackets once.  CE guys needed them to clean weapons and parts,  I didnt need the flak jackets but they were cool and made excellent trading material
