My mom wants to visit the place.  When is a good time of the year?  She is thinking August.  Any great places to stay?  Suggestions?

-
				Best time?

 That would be May 1960

Afraid you cant get there from here LOL

Tell her to go to Hedonism instead :D
-
				August September or October.

How much does she want to spend on accomadations?  Lots of great places to stay, most are pricey though.

Someone e-mailed me the other day looking to sell a timeshare slot they couldn't use this year at the St. Georges Club.  It was about 2,000 for a week...normally 4,000.  Want me to check it out?

I try to do stuff with my mom a few times a year.  This is one of those trips.  My sister and I will be taking her back to Bermuda for a trip.  She has not been for over ten years.  My moms health has not faired well over the last couple years so this means a lot to me to give her the best possible experience within some degree of financial responsibility.  Curval, I would sure appreciate any help or insight including the above option.

				You are coming too?  Cool.

I'm happy to help as much as I can.  I'll look into the timeshare thing tomorrow.

Other than that...Southampton Princess Hotel and the Elbow Beach are high end options...but you might want to look at Pompano Beach.  I took the family there for lunch last September and it was great.

I'll do some digging and post links.

				Fairmont Southampton Princess (http://www.fairmont.com/southampton/)

 Elbow Beach (http://www.mandarinoriental.com/hotel/534000001.asp)

 Pompano Beach (http://www.pompano.bm/)

The Reefs - Award Winning Hotel (http://www.bermuda4u.com/Hotels/bermuda_hotels_reefs.html)

There are lots of guest houses too.  Not quite as expensive but they don't have a big hotel feel.

JetBlue now flies here btw (http://www.jetblue.com/wherewefly/)

Maybe save some cash on flights.  You have to get to NYC (JFK) though...where are you coming from?

				don't go during hurricane season.

-
June through November is good time to go:D

-
				"Elbow beach" .... hmmm...

				Rabbid...you have a PM.

As far as hurricanes go...Raider has the dates spot on.  ;)  Not to worry though...if we have a hurricane while Rabbid is here I will provide beers for the hurricane party.

If you are going to be anywhere during a hurricane you're best bet is Bermuda.

Thanks a lot for your help!  I'll put this by my mom and sis.  Other ideas are of course welcome.

If you are a Storm chaser/enthusiast it would be cool becuase cities and towns in those areas are bound to have hurricane proof houses

i used to work few years for Princess Cruises, been in Bermuda many times, great island classy, clean, and is not like those hot, humid stinky caribean islands.
The only think i did hate, was the trafic on left side, like in UK. I rented a car and returned it after few min, i could't dive  like that, i always seen cars Hoing me!

				Nice doob.

Post a reminder here when you come, I could take a drive up there and buy you a beer or four.

Kings Wharf is part of the old Royal Naval Dock Yard, on the far western part of the island.  Not too much going on down there...the Frog & Onion Pub is nice.

They have the Maritime Museum there, which is pretty interesting.  I'm a member down there so if you want to see that call me (i'll give you my number if you want by PM) and I'll take you in gratis.  I usually take my kids up there to see the dolphins, the museum , let them play for a bit on the playground and then take 'em for lunch.

I suggest you rent a scooter and go see the island...just be careful.
