Wasn't sure where best to post this so here it is.
I signed a new member to our squad last night. As it turns out he likes the Typhoon so we flew our inaugrial mission together in Tiffies even though I had only flown them on one or two other occasions.
At one point (I think my new squad-mate had gone down) I found myself alone with 5 cons, three on my six ranging fro 1.0-1.3K back. I put it into a shallow flat climb and was watching the cons behind me out my left rear quarter trying to judge their E and when I should break or try a reversal. At some point I must have decided the time was right and I switched back to forward view. I went to drop the left wing and it wouldn't drop! Thinking quickly I gave it full left rudder and the plane rotated on it's axis 180 degrees and was pointed downhill directly at my pursuers. When I say rotated I don't think there was any lateral deflection. It was one of the coolest things I've experienced in this game in years and a great move if it's repeatable. The stall buzzer never sounded but I had slowed down during the climb.
Does the engine on the Typhoon rotate the opposite direction of most planes (like the Spit XIV)? If so that would explain part of it.
Are there other planes that exhibit this tendancy and if so which ones?
In another un-related matter I also was in a 1 on 10 dogfight a little later on in this thing. Things were going along well. I had 2 kills and was going for a third when all of a sudden the thing just snap-rolled to the right on me and I augered (I was right on the deck when it happened). There was no warning whatsoever.
Other than "Don't pull the stick any farther" how can you avoid this. It's happened to me in other planes too. I'm thinking it might be my set-up as I use the default slider settings for my joystick. Everythings going along great one moment then I give it just a little more and BAM, even when I should have sufficient E. Suggestions?

Check your stick for spiking. My own is starting to do this, although on the roll axis and not the pitch.

Both the Typhoon and the Tempest roll better in the opposite directions than most planes, along with the Il2 and the Yaks.

I've had some strange reversals in a tiffie too, but always in low speed situations. And the stall horn was never completely silent throughout. From your post it seems like you still had a decent amount of E when this occurred. Remarkable...hope you got a kill out of it :) or at least that you can replicate it

Yes. Tempest and both Yaks as well.

You should have seen my pursuers scatter when they realized they were'nt on my six anymore but that I was headed straight at them. It was hilarious. They were breaking in every direction.
Benny, thanks, I had thought of that earlier but forgoten again. I'm going to check my windows calibration right now.

Snap roll can be a pig in the Tiffy.
Also tends to shed it's wingtips far too easily.

Didn't you know? all of the british late war rides are crippled by torque effects.
Mosquito
Typhoon
Tempest
Spit 14
Just like the late war rides of other countries, such as the LA7, N1k, 109K4... err... wait a minute...
