I had the pleasure of running into an F4u mission last night and eventually dragged out Crispy for an excellant F4u1a vs F4u-4 fite.

i was in the perk corsair & Crispy was the 1aHog.

It's a great film that shows the difference between not/or dropping the gear.(overshoot footage)

i forgot to ask Crispy if it was ok to post it ..

You may post it sir, it was a great fight lasting quite a while, you finally got a pilot wound on me.  The extra HP of the -4 was the determining factor imho.
