Title: unknown problem
Post by: markhamprice on February 09, 2007, 11:18:19 PM
I just found this and have gotten a problem right away. I just tried to fly, but I can't get off the ground, the prop's spinning, but I'm not going anywhere. if this has happened before, please redirect me to the proper topic. Thanks.

Your throttle doesn't come pre-mapped in the game.  You have to manually set it in the clipboard settings.

markhamprice, what kind of controller do you use?

The Aces High default stick mapping is in no way complete... youll have to get things set up first. Check out the Trainer Corps Homepage (http://trainers.hitechcreations.com/) for info on game setup, gameplay and more.

I am using a joystick, AH recognizes that it is there, but the throttle doesn't show up. if I have to manually tell AH about the throttle, please be somewhat specific.

The default assigning of axis and buttons in AH is incomplete. You need to manually set up the stick, (http://trainers.hitechcreations.com/controllers/controllers.htm) for a help file on how to do it.

Usual mapping is:

X axis: analog input aileron (roll)
Y axis: analog input elevator (pitch)
Z axis: analog input throttle1
Z rotation: analog input rudder (yaw) - this one is the twisty function.

If you have doubts about which axis on your stick is which, just move it (while in the controller setup menu) - the numbers in brackets will change for the respective axis when its being moved.

It's real easy.  In your controller setup in-game, click on your z-axis(which is unasigned by default.  Now, under Global, find Trottle.  Click on it to assign it.  All done.
