never happen again in the small arena CAPS.


possibly once the numbers get to over 500+ for each arena, but until then no way, those "big" maps are just tooooooooo spread out. hell look at SMpizza and how the fight is so spread apart unless you do GV raids you can barely find 1 fight on the map.


the current "small" maps are somewhat "old" though not all of them.


personally I am afraid with all the stuff going on at HTC with CT< and waffle being a new employee and graphic changes in the core of the game, unless a user makes a map we are "SOL" so to say.

if you really want / need a new map you have to pony up and make one.

I have a plan for a map, originally was a "large" one, but I am sure it could be a small one too.... I just don't personally have the TE skills to make / finish it to my standards.


if you want to try and make one visit the TE forum, and submit an Idea to HTC (BTW don't bother making a full MA map without their support and direction, as without following some certain conventions, it probably won't be accepted into MA rotation)

problem is, small maps with OVER 300 players are too small..... But large maps under 300 players are too big.

then of corse you have the number differences during the days Ie 120ish day, to 420ish at night.

what i would "like" would be a 512x512 map, but limited to only 384 center area or something..... a happy medium sort of thing?:)

Wants to see the giant sea map again with half a dozen CVs each side.

Best map ever and gave you a chance to sneak bases :D

While I don't know the ins & outs of building a map I wonder would it be possible to downsize Fester, Donut & Trinity? Say 2/3 of what they were?

Ltarkilz if you really want to try building a map go to the terrain bbs and down load the tutroial by denholm then doun load the terrain softwaer and have  a go.

  unding standing the process is  a lot easier with the tutroial but getting a map to htc spec is a little harder

i agree, im sick of all the SAME MAPS OVER AND OVER AGAIN:mad: .the only fun map is TT

please bring back the older BETTER maps

i think trinity would work due to the rather small front lines and sea area...

however a map like festerma has far too many bases to protect by just 30 people

Not me, I think we should just have one map, and one map only for all the arenas.

It would be the TT island map.  I never want to see it go, I cry when it leaves and anxiously await its return.

the larger maps could be used all they need to do is to make
the bases around the outsides uncaptureable,and make aircraft and tanks unavlaible at these bases.

it is one of the better maps.. i wish it was bigger tho.... that style map as a 512x512 map would be coooooooooool

Hey, now there's the start of a good idea.

How about we have the large maps with only say half the bases in the center available for capture.  

As the arena population grows during prime time the locked fields open for capture.  

As the arena population dwindles again the outside fields re-lock belonging to whomever owns them at that time.

In fact you could take it a step further and make them not only uncapturable but un-usable.

I have a 512 map that could be thrown in for a vote, it may need changes. Some person that may have more insight could make suggestions. Or give
the files to someone who has the time to do so ? How about a link where
we share our maps ?
