Title: dropping bombs

sumtimes i see ppl who doesn't know a lot about bombing and try to drop bombs at treetop level. well apparently they don't explode that close to the ground. you have to drop from at least 1k. for dive bombing, go to 2k to be sure that bombs will explode and then dive down. this works for me.

Bombs have to travel 1000 feet through the air to arm.

Ah perfect. I noticed this happening to me the other night and i was about to post a thread asking what alt i needed to be!

Higher speed = lower minimum drop altitude. I drop level from a P-40E at about 100-200 feet because I have built up enough speed to carry the bomb 5 feet foreward for every foot down. Speed is, as always, king.
