Krusty would you mind doing the version of this with the Yellow and Red cowling instead of the one with just the red cowling?

Yeah, sure. I've got most of the references still archived. I can whip one up (but not til after my hurr1 and my 47D-11 are closer to completion).

I don't know what its supposed to look like, but it looks freaking awsome.

By the way krusty, and no offense to anyone else, you are the best skinner on Aces High. I personally like your a5 and your ki84 the most.

Nah, I'm not the best. Far from it. I just stumble onto a few things that "look good" once in a while.

Upon further reflection I'm going to lighten the colors a tad. They came off darker than I thought they would.

I'm going the opposite direction of the other one (with yellow only on the chin), so that each will be a different skin (not just the same with more yellow on it).

I found 2 basic ideas for this aircraft way back when doing research. One was lighter greys, lighter shades, possibly colors used as winter was approaching. The other was darker, crisper shades (more like RLM-dictated colors), which is what I'm using for this one. Back when I did the other I wanted the lighter, now I want the darker.

Didn't take as long as I'd thought it would.

:aok  Man, I would spend days in photoshop, just to get rid of the default skin textures but keep detail ornaments and shading properties.   Any suggestions as to a speedier or easy skin template?

Definitely, some nice talent there Krusty

Yes. Make them all yourself. I only use the default for where the things go. I make new layers and draw my lasso around them, use paint bucket to fill in. Then on top of these go camo, mottling, if applicable, and stencils, text or triangles or red crosses. Then crosses or roundels, and national insignia. Then anything special (like red tulips or lightning bolts). Then panel lines and rivets. These alone can take up half a dozen layers.

Then weathering on top.

Oh, Thang, just wanted to remind you we *do* have an all-yellow cowled version, done by NrRaven, if you like. This one definitely won't make a skin pack anytime soon so you can enjoy that one in the meantime.
