This weekend I noticed a huge unfair difference in eny. During one point rooks had 80+ people on more than nits = eny 12
Next day Nits have roughly 60 more than rooks = eny 25
Im at work but I have the screen shots at home. Did anyone else notice this besides me?

ENY limit based on percentage, not pure numbers.
-
Bzek, the real issue isnt the total numbers....it's the ratio compared with the LOWEST country.
So, yeah, that high ENY could make sense if the arena was less populated, or if the lowest country was farther from the other 2, in your second example.
If you're implying that the company is being unfair, treating one side differently than the others, I would disagree.
-
ENY limitations are automatic and same for all countries. And people in all countries whine about them when hit ;)
-
I'll pin the rooks for something yet! =p
-
ENY works just fine.
Squad is Rooks. Squad planned mission the day before, progressively moving up the F4U versions each flight.
ENY was high for the Rooks, we moved to Bishops who had the lowest numbers.
Ran the mission as planned.
Nothing wrong with the ENY at all, did what it's supposed to do.

I'd be interested to know why the F4U-1 has a higher ENY value than the FM-2. Surprised the hell out of me when I tried to up for base defense last night in an FM-2 only to find it unavailable yet I could still launch the birdcage Hog.

Not me, but then I'm not married to a chess piece and don't think it's
the end of the world to make new friends. :D

I have more interesting question: why F4F-4 has same eny as FM-2 (in MA)?

That's a great question.
In any arena.

I agree with this in the Late War arenas where the numbers are higher. My squad had an ENY problem in Mid War. We had about 20 on and that basically doubled the knights and therefor the ENY.
If we all change to Bish, the ENY simply follows us and then the Bish have a low ENY and we cannot switch sides.
The only other alternative is for the squad to split, and squads (to me) are what this game is about and why I play in a squad.

The tough thing(IMHO) about eny comes when you have a scenario like this: 120 Rooks, 70 Knights, 145 bishops. As a rook you get eny penalties even when fighting the superior numbers of the bish. I don't like this. Maybe have eny penalties on bases near knights in this scenario.. leave just a couple of bases over on the bish side w/ no eny penalty.

Like to bash empty fields? :huh
If your squad has more ppl than all others together you always will hit by ENY, of course. And you deserve it, imho

And ya dont mind nudgin for a few more NME's either. ;)

I only think the ENY is a little unfair..If a country gets beat down to a few fields during the day...then later that night all the Day runners log off and said country numbers build rapidly but yet have only a few fields to work from.
The new capture plan solved this somewhat...but it still can be a little out of whack.
-
Heh, I love ENY. I want it to kick in sooner and higher.
None of the 3.5 junk. Start it at 5 and go up by whole numbers.
Also as soon as eny reaches 10. Poof no more formations for horde monkeys.

Oleg,
This happened when there were per country arena caps active. We couldnt get in to the late arenas, and when we went in to the mid or early we got plastered by ENY.
The mongrels are not a landgrabbing squad, and don't capture bases often in any case. We just take off and have some fun together. A few of the guys hate to leave the Nits, so everyone goes along -- just like they wont do a squad night in orange because they know my vox hasnt worked there, even when I tell them to go ahead.
They're just a bunch of nice guys, and I have a hard time seeing them as an arena problem. IMHO, if the cost of acting the way we do turns out to be an ENY penalty, so be it -- tho it does bother some more than it bothers me.
-
I guess I'm the one with the problem.
As Sim pointed out, we might have capped 10 bases in the past 2 months. We are not much of a land grabbing squad, and when we go for a base we will announce it on 200 so we can get others to defend.
Yeah, Oleg, we are the horde:rolleyes:
Here is why I think ENY is not working. You had the horde, the landgrabbers, the furballers and the whiners before ENY. Now with it, you still have the same exact situation only certain squads seem to be punished by the ENY. And it has placed me in the whiner category which ticks me off.

I never seen both LW arenas filled to max :huh Dont contend its impossible though.

Well, sorry if i was wrong about milkruning, but it was hard to image what else you can do if numbers something like 30/10/10 in your favor and 20 of yours fly together. Swarm all 3 enemy planes (others will go anywhere else most probably) with full force of your squad?

ENY works just fine and complains on BBS and ch200 shows it. ENY wasnt supposed to solve all problems. Its suppose to hit side with significant number advantage and stimulate ppl to switch to side with less numbers. If somebody prefer to whine - its his own choice.
