Title: Still can't figure this out....
Post by: -CodyC on February 12, 2007, 02:44:03 PM
Well since cleaning my computer and updating the video drivers my computer has been behaving a lot better, i have been able to play for sometimes an hour at a time.  But the computer restarting and now "Aces High has encountered an error and needs to shut down" are still occuring.

I've been trying to figure out if it is just something in game that is causing it, like one certain thing, especially the computer restarting.  Well i figured it had something to do with my soundcard until i turned the game on, logged in and as i was about to select an arena, bam, computer restarts itself.  So my only idea was to completely uninstall AH and get a fresh install and see how that does, maybe a fresh installation of XP is in order? Ideas?

I recently replaced my motherboard and when I tried to launch AH before I installed the sound card it did the "encountered .... needs to close"

after I installed my sound card it was fine... so maybe its a directx or soundcard issue?
