Title: Win 2k and now 1.08 doesn't work.

What gives after installing 1.08 I cannot fly.  The sound of planes overhead at an airfield causes lock ups.   have current sound driver so that is not issue.  If I can get on the runway my plane starts to bounce and it crashes, I just got a new video card to see if that was the problem and that did not solve it.  have a monster 400 sound card on its way as well.  What gives here?  Am I goig to have to upodate my pc on each new version?  Never before have I had as many problems with earlier patches as I have had with this one.  I am going to go back o win98 unfortunately because in 2000 AH is impossible to fly in.  Thanks

Hey Sachs.

I had the same problem. I had to:

a) Uninstall 1.08
b) Download full version of 1.08p2.
c) Re-Install 1.08p2.

That should work. I'm running Win2k SP2, DX 8.0a, Athlon 1.2GHz on a Asus A7A266 Mobo. Getting 75FPS.

Works for me as well.

Should install sp2 soon.

Working for me here 2,running a dual-boot
celeron 400 (i know i know)
256mb ram
tnt2
aureal vortex 8820 (origional vortex card)
15 inch screen (i'm poor ok!)
getting 25-49 frames under winME
same under win2k,sp2 dx8.1,detonator 21.41 and beta sound drivers for the aureal.
Please post your exact spec's here and we will try to help  :).

Thanks Vruth I will give this a try, I thought I might have to do this but I am on 56k and it takes an hour to download.  Still missing my cable especially now.  At any rate I drove myself to get a new vid and sound card out of this lol.  Thanks again.
