Having no skinning talent... I thought I would see if anyone else would be interested in this skin.

I think the main reason we don't is because they changed the armament. They often installed 1 12.7mm and 1 20mm in each wing. This is true even of hurricane Mk.IICs. They liked to field modify everything, and it wouldn't be the exact plane the Soviets used.
That's why I think nobody's done one so far.

is that a mk1 or a mk11b it doesnt look a 2c from the profile as i cant see any cannons?
if its a 2b htc might accept it on a mk1 but thats down to them,
i could give it a bash see what it looks like

Looks like it's got outer gun port tape squares. IIB is my guess.

well heres what it would look like if it was done for the game.

Wow! Quick work… and very nice looking too! I found another hurricane image. This one is listed as being a “MkIIc/Trop” However it is equipped with 4 x 20 mm Oerlikom cannons. Not the under wing 30MM that the in game tropical model has.

Still, I would like to think that there is enough historical accuracy to allow us a Hurricane in Russian winter camouflage.

I had to do a google search to “re-find” the source of those schemes.
The first one came from a Flightdecs decal sheet (#AML72009). The only information it provides is, “Mk.IIB Red 48 Moscow 1942 white/sky.”
So the underside of the aircraft must be a sky-blue color?

The second scheme was found at this site: (Tons of schemes to see here.)

This whole search started because I have been playing WWII Russian music in the background while I’m playing Aces High, and I was looking for appropriately skinned aircraft to fly.

the hurricane mk1 is ok too do but the skin fr the mk2 is hard because of its bad points

VVS winter white was actually white wash.......... pure simple lime/chalk and water daubed over the existing camo. It did over time actually wash off.........
Hence despite often seen pure white pictures what you actually ended up with was a mottled white effect over a faded original camo. Leading / exposed edges with virtually the original camo showing......
They may or may not have applied this to the under belly blue........... it was a field modification not a an ex factory camo.
Krusty is correct the MkIIb were (eventually) refitted with 2 x shvak and 2 x shkas/UBS (and a thicker pilot back plate).

Tilt: most examples I see don't do the under-surfaces. I think it's a matter of saving time. The undersides are normally close to that color by default, so why whitewash 'em? -- that sort of thing.
