On Sunday, February 25th at 9PM EST we will be hosting a Snapshot in SEA. Anyone familiar with Snapshots here in the community will know that they are Historical Setups that last about an hour or longer. We cordially invite all Squads and Lone Wolf's to participate in the event.
Get ready to battle it out in the dangerous skies over Germany as the USAAF wraps up its "Big Week" Campaign. Take to the skies in a B-17 or B-24 and decimate industrial targets in Germany fighting Fw-190s and Bf-109s for hundreds of miles across frozen skies, Or lead your squadron in a Thunderbolt or Lightning and make sure the bombers make it safely to target and back.
There is no registration, It is open to anybody who shows up and is ready to have fun. The only thing we do require is that you be prompt and ready to go when Roll Command is given. The Objectives are straight forward and Plenty of Aces High Veterans and Arena Staff will be present to help out anybody that needs it.
We have edited this snapshot to last longer than most of our Wednesday Night and Thursday Events, So please be ready to commit some time and like most Snapshots this will be a One Life Event, So once you're down, you're down.

Don't forget. All our Welcome :)

This looks like a fun snapshot. I have a question.
If the attack was on Regensburg and Stuttgart, why are the targets in the area of Frankfurt, which is 150 miles west of the actual target?
No 8th AF P-47s got anywhere near Regensburg and the P-38s had dropped their external tanks shortly after crossing the Rhine.

My regards,

Shameless bump.
-
Please be early, and read the MOTD carefully.
-
BansheCH and 4XTCH will be leading the Axis, MGD and Roscoroo will be heading up the Allies.
Bring your squads, bring your friends, and remember that Most of the AH population tends to visit these boards rarely, so while in the MAs, please tell your friends (and enemies you want to shoot at). The more targets the better :)
-
Will do my part to get the C HAWKS in!!

did I mention we have room for lotsa Bait pilots ...Opps I mean Buffs :D
You could have the job of protecting these brave Buff pilots in your own P-38j or P-47d-11 ... :aok

Can't miss a rare opportunity to die in a yellow-nosed 38J :)
Just wish we had the plain-jane OD/Gray one they had at that point in the war.

Wow! Great time guys, thanks to the SEA staff for putting it on.
That bit at the last with everyone taxing off the runway to park on near and in the hangars was sweet!
Cheers.

Yes great fun! Well done all!
-
I want to say Thanks to everyone that showed up .. And any input is most welcome about the scenario down in the "Scenario forum"
WE will run more of these events in the up coming months . Along with keeping them as a walkon event .
thanks again guys . :aok

OK, where do I submit my AAR?
Col. Don is ticked at me for that victory roll and my Crew Chief says next time I land with 7 gallons of gas he'll kick my butt himself, but it was good day anyway. :D
-
Great Job All... thanks for coming out tonight for our inaugural Sunday night event.
Congrats to MGD and Roscoroo for a well planned Mission:aok :aok
Axis side CiC's (Myself and BansheCH) were seriously out-classed as first timers.
Apologies to all those Axis pilots that ran into that brick wall.
Hindsight being what it is, we probably should have airspawned all aircraft.
Altitude over 22,500 in those planes is hard to come by.
Trying to out guess 2 of the Best planners in the game is not easy, and I certainly didnt expect that full on push. I did guess correctly on their approach, but overcoming those #'s of Buffs and escorts was a task.
There are more of these events in the future and All of your input is welcome to make them a success.
Thanks again for participating
