Title: Cannot Connect to Host

Hi,

I have been out of the game for almost a year, and tried to set up a new account.  When I fill out the new account form and submit, it comes back with a message 'cannot connect to host'.  I have disabled my AV, firewall, and deleted/reloaded the software but get the same results.  Any ideas anyone?  Thanks in advance!

Did you download and reinstall the game? You might need to with the recent server address changes.
An older version will not look in the right place to connect and if you missed more than a patch or three you will need the complete new version anyway.

hey this is the same problem I have. I have done everything to this modem ya'll have suggested and still no joy. I am getting dsl tomorrow and ahave given up with dial-up

I have solved my connection problem.  While I set my software firewall (Zone Alarm) to pass aceshigh.exe, my wireless router/dsl modem provided by Bellsouth has a built-in hardware firewall.  The security level was set to 'advanced'.  I changed the setting to 'basic', and VOILA! my account setup went perfectly.  To those of you that responded to my call for help-THANK YOU!

PS-Now if only I can find a microphone, I'll be able to talk to my peeps.
