Ok, it's Valentines day. I'm pretty sure at least a couple of you managed to get out of your parent's basements long enough to find someone, what are _you_ doing for your special so and so?
I got my wife an MP3 player, nothing says "I love you" like copyright infringement on a near apocalyptic scale.
I think she got me a big chocolate heart thing. I've got a date with it and a whole jar of peanut butter. And maybe clothes, I haven't decided.

to quote i guy i work with "last year I bought my wife a burial plot and she still hasn't used it" ...
" why should i get her anything new if she hasn't used what I got her last year?"
-
Well....I bought a dozen silk roses, I give them out to my "valentine" of my choosing, then take them back when I leave.
I don't like real flowers, they eventually wilt and die just like the relationship will.
I don't really do any of that, but I suppose I'll grab a couple flowers for my friend and head over to her house.:t

We've been married sooo long now... I gotta shock her every Valentines Day...
This Year I'm paintin the Head Red, Foreskin Green, tiein a Bow on it and layin Hershey kisses around my lap. Ohhh and a card too....
Gets to the point. What's she gonna do? Refund it?

Flying my girlfriend down the NYC cordor at sunset...Landing at Tet, and going into the city for the night. Dinner in little Italy (Il Palazzo), and then staying over night at the Times Square Marriott.
-
I think the term "girlfriend" is such a strong word.

I finally got my wife a nice tiffany necklace she's been wanting for a couple of years. Not one of the stupidly expensive ones, just a mild burning sensation when I touch my credit card.

HaHa suckers!
This is the one holiday I am exempt from.
And if I get or do anything special its because I want to rather then have to. And I dont always.
Some years I do. Some years I dont. And more often then not. I dont.
So when I do. its a surprise. And vise verse.
We by mutual agreement havent made a big deal of it since before we were engaged. Which is over 20 years ago. Just never saw the point in it.
This year. As usual I'll probably get my daughter a card and a box of candy. Mainly because I know its only going to be a few more years before she starts getting boyfriends and I become the secondary man in her life.
As for the wife. I will probably decide on the way home from work and whatever mood Im in.
But if I dont it wont be held against me

Valentines Day means wedding anniversary for me.
It has worked out really well, because I never forget our wedding day.
This year it will be a sushi dinner for her and sort of one for me too. ;)
