Carlos Mencia was funny for the first 2 or 3 episodes, then the same racial jokes got boring and I couldn't stand to listen to him do that dumb "dee dee dee" thing anymore. It's as bad as "get 'er done" and "that's funny right there" from Larry The Cable Guy

I can't decide who I like the least, Mencia or Rogan. Mencia's a hack that thinks if you scream the joke it becomes funny and Rogan is the new Joe Piscapo.

Anyone who has seen Carlos' show has heard him say that he is not Mexican.
Anyone who has seen Joe Rogan live knows that he screams as much if not more than Carlos.

no tha wasnt it. the one I had up had both comics on stage facing off and going off on one another face to face along with dated clips of the original jokes by the original comics and then clips of Mencia doing the same joke.
At one point they are arguing the name issue and Mencia is claiming he didnt change his name UNTILL Rogan tells him his real name. at which point Mencia says "Well yea everyone knew that."
My question would have been. umm if they did. why were you not 30 seconds ago trying to claim you didnt change your name?

He's worked it into his show a few times that he's from Honduras, not Mexico. It's no secret; he's used his non-Mexican heritage as a punchline three or four times. He's never mentioned the half German part though, which I wouldn't really expect him to if it doesn't fit into the joke.
The video does make him look like quite a lying bigmouth though. You can still find it at joerogan.net.

IIRC the few times I watched Mencia he just referred to himself as a "beaner". IE The beaner's got a show!
He's gotten tedious relying on some sight gags, yelling and a lot of profanity in place of actual humorous material.

Carlos Mencia has never claimed to anything other than a Mexican on his show on TV and in comedy clubs. I've seen him twice at the Comedy Store a few years ago and was at a taping of one of his shows and each time he played the "I'm a beaner!" card. The 2nd time I saw him at the Comedy Store, he even dragged out his older brother on stage, just like he does on his TV show just to show how "Mexican" his family is. When it finally came out that he's only half Hispanic (Honduran/German) and that he's been pretending to be a Mexican, he lost a lot of credibility in the Hispanic community.
Besides, George Lopez and Paul Rodriguez are much funnier than Ned.
