I've not been able to host a P2P arena (for the purposes of AHXAR team practicing). I use a Linksys SOHO Firewall and I assume there are some ports or settings that I must enable.
Is there a prior thread with the details?
Does anyone else know what settings to enable?
I'm IT qualified, you can give me a gritty detail answer to work with. Thanks in advance!

In this post, I will try to give you helpful information on how to interpret your connection to the various servers that HiTech Creations deploys.
First, the server IP addresses, to be used for traces/ping plots.
Early, Mid, Late War Orange Main Arena Server Address: 206.16.60.39
Axis vs Allies, Training, Dueling, Late War Blue: 206.16.60.38
Special Events: 206.16.60.37
The current port range for all arenas in Aces High is 2000-6000, inclusive, for UDP and TCP. Aces High will use a random subset of those ports for all online play (8 Player included).
(its up in the tech help thread stickys )

Thanks Roscoroo *S*
I think the port forwarding is the part I was missing. I'll assign a route to my hosting machine and give that a whirl. I appreciate the information.
Follow up question, do the ports you mention include the VOX transmissions?
-
yes they do . vox is in the 4000 area i think ...
i know on my set up . ive got to see a ping in the room /arena or my vox is dead .

gotcha, and Thank You. I looked up the thread in the tech area too btw, thx for the help *S*

p.s vox doesnt ussually work in h2h land ... you have to have it set up just right and i think Skuzzy said theres only a couple of routors that work correctly ..
Ask him if ya need more details .
