I would like for HT to consider the East Coast for the Con this year. Philadelphia is a very Con friendly City. And talk about sites to see. It would give us East Coasters a chance to go :)

What about Richmond, or Norfolk, VA? :D :D :aok Not that I'd mind driving to Philly too.
-
I nominate Sacramento, CA only because I"m poor and I can drive there.
:)
-
I hear it's at pyro's house!
-
Need to have one in the SouthEast for those of us to poor to drive very far!
-
If it's around Philly, pretty sure I could get a Flying Tiger there for some good stories :) I deliver mail to a DR's office where his wife works, and he loves to talk planes.

Dude, you're goofier than an outhouse mouse... That's F-I-V-E LETTERS, one word!
Lost Wages, NV.. Hmmm, what an op to oggle hot chicks!

I would vote for Sacramento, but Twain Harte would be even better. Sweet little town nestled in the Sierra pine trees.
Heck, anywhere in California would work. :D

Dallas...
They say out here, Ft. Worth is where the west begins, and Dallas is where the east peters out.
Also, High Tech has his RV8 parked here in Dallas. Winners of the 2vs2 tourney got a ride in it last year. So thats my reasoning to keep it here...plus its only 20 mins from where I live, very convenient for me...haha

I believe the Cons will be EVERY TWO YEARS, as stated last year.
-
Is the every two year thing actually true, or just a rumor? Nobody I've talked to had actually heard/read this from the source directly....
So do we know for real that that's what HTC said?
-
How about columbus or dayton ohio? Dayton has an Awsome naval museum, they have almost anything you can imagine (no ki84 sadly (at least not last time I went(omg triple parenthesese)))
-
Buffalo NY!!! Makes it easy on my car and for our Canadian friends :-p Theres casinos, the falls a airbase. And lots of single fat chicks!

Ooh, the horor of undereducated youth.....
:D
Dayton, as a landlocked community in the Midwest, is a far better site for the Museum of the US AIR FORCE than for a naval one.
The MUSAF has (I believe) the largest single collection of aircraft in the world. The Presidential and Experiemental Hangars are sweet, because they are still set up the way the whole museum was 20 yeras ago -- you can walk right up to and underneath anything that's there.
And Moil -- they have the gun set and mount from a Wirlbelwind on the ground, along one wall in the second Presidential hangar...

From what I understand one year it's big, the next year you don't hear anything about the con, although they have one. Then the very next year they have another big con same as 2006.
-
I can understand HTC wanting to keep things close to the office. Not so easy to pack up all the servers and head east I bet. But I too, would love a chance to get together and swap some stories, back here where errr.... ummmm .... this country started (estcst waiting for wstcst -- to chime in):lol
Maybe we could organize some sort of event around a local air show and have a member or two from the staff available to hob knob. (That is if the Convention doesn't make it east of the Mississippi.):noid
I believe some of our gamer friends have something like that going on in the Midwest coming up (minus the staffer -- not sure about that). Although they claim to not mention AH much in their gatherings, still a good opportunity to get the AH word out to prospective addicts like me at the airshow. :O

Will wash windows for flight to Convention with one of u ole bush pilots. Convenient landing strip 300 yds away.:D

I'd rather they keep it like last year.
Keeps it to a small group who that about the game and the community.
Bringing it a place like Miami/ Las Veges would bing in the yahoos.
People just looking for another place to get drunk and in trouble.

There needs to be stuff like electricity and running water and flushing toilets. Sorry daddog, Twain Harte just doesn't make the cut. ;)
Also broadband would be desirable... we can work around the rest.

The "local" NAS JRB will fix that problem. The Blue Angles and Thunderbirds stop by from time to time.
-
Does anyone actually know, actually have first hand knowledge, of whether there even will be a con this year?
In my work, need lots of lead time to set up time off, and I'd really like to go this year. If no con, I'd make other plans.

I very much doubt it.
