According to this, Kesmai.com is the 30th oldest domain on the internet! The site doesn't exist anymore, but I thought a lot of you would get a kick out of that. These sites were all made long before http...very cool stuff. Shows that Kesmai and Airwarrior were really on the bleeding edge of tech for their time.
(For those that don't know, Kesmai was the original company that owned Airwarrior)

Ahh but here is the dichotomy of what you said. How can they be one of the oldest if they are no longer active? So they are constantly falling out of the old list and will eventually join on of the many millions of defunct websites that litter the online world.

Check this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_name_registrar) out.
Until 1999, there was no Shared Registration System (SRS). Network Solutions (NSI) operated the .com, .net, and .org registries, and was the de jure registrar and registry.
Then... check this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_Solutions) out.
In 1992, Network Solutions, Inc. (NSI) was granted an exclusive contract by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to be the sole Domain name registrar for .com, .net and .org Top Level Domain (TLD) names. NSI also maintained the central database of assigned names called WHOIS. Network Solutions acted as a de facto registrar, selling names directly to end users.
Which begs the question... "Where were these old domains registered?"
