After a few hours of faultless play (excluding the killings I got due to unfamiliarity), my new set up suddenly went FUBAR. Can't say it had anything to do with latest patch cause it worked at least for some time. Basically I have no throttle in the game. I see the joystick and pedals in the set up and the inputs seem to work there but when I go into the game - no throttle. Another cute thing is that when I look at Saitek in game controllers I can't shut it down. As soon as I do it immediately pops back up. Any ideas would be sincerely appreciated, I don't wanna have to bring my MS FFB back up from the minors.
Thanks

Ah! The Master!
Thanks for answering Pyro. Yes, I rebooted. I'll add something which might give you some insight. After I re-installed AH I was having the same problem and noticed that some j/stick set ups were just like I had previously set up. This made me think about what uninstalling actually removed evidently not the setup file. Guess you guys figured "they'll be back" Anyway, I went into the AH directory and removed everything that wasn't a .bmp file. I also removed a sub-directory called settings and the re-installed. This was clean with even the old trip up and down the tower steps which I had speeded up long ago. I re-set up the j-stick (back to MS FFB) and the USB CH Pro rudders. All seemed the work well in the set up then I went in the game and no rudders. Go back into setup to doublecheck and then back in game. Still no rudder. I gun the engines and while rolling down the runway wack here comes the rudder input. Very strange. Any further ideas?
Thanks

I just love these mind numbing revelations, seems like the system automatically defaults to auto-takeoff accounting for the rudders suddenly coming to life when I override the auto-takeoff with a stick movement. This problem solved.
Now, probably related! Though I'm listed as a Musketeer I can't get the F11 key to highlight squad m8s. Is there a way to refresh this?

Ok, here's what's going on. The settings folder and files therein are created on the fly, they are not part of the installation so the uninstaller can't remove them. If you delete the settings folder, everything will go back to defaults when you fly the next time, joystick settings, keymaps, preferences, etc. It sounds like you just need to remap the squad highlight function and you'll be fine.

Ok this i have had and its so easily cured.
On my system its the AUX 1 button on my throttle basically if its in any position other than fully towards you it causes this problem when viewing properties.
One other thing you started posting you had no throttle then swiched to rudder problems ??
Typo or more problems ?

Cav;
Thanks. Suspect you may be right as I did a quick map of buttons 10/11 1st aux to looking at damage and map by switching it back and forth and may have left it on either 10/11 when I went to look at properties.
Thanks

Pyro;
Thanks I'll try this. Since things are looking up I'm planning on removing the FFB and putting the Saitek back on. One last question since somewhere along the line of my original Saitek install I evidently corrupted the AH setup file, any cautions or other thoughts to offer?
Thanks

P.S. If I haven't said it before (think I did), you guys have done one hell of a bang up job on this version. Not yanking your chain or blowing smoke up your nether regions when I say me and everybody I've spoken to love the damn thing in spite of a few minor inconveniences.
