Title: Some REAL non-historic skins...
Post by: Serenity on February 21, 2007, 01:17:39 AM
Has anybody taken a REAL good hard look at the Ju-87 Stuka? Chances are, if you havem you have noticed, on all 3 skins, a little red triangle on the left hand side. But have you ever zoomed in so you could read that read triangle? Every single Ju-87 skin, including the default says "Yo Daddy Superfly". Anyone know the origins of this little hidden 'tag'? (Ill post a pic. once I get my desktop working again)

Read the credits when you start the game... then start searching through the hangar for the plane with a bottle of liquor by the seat.

I recognize the name 'superfly', so it is him? His little treat? And wasnt the alcoholic plane the La-7? I say wasnt because I heard the little bottle was removed.

For those that don't know, these are called "easter eggs" in the gaming industry. Little things that you won't notice at first glance, but when you examine it, start to look odd. They're a little bit of humor.

In this case, Supafly was the graphics guy back when all generation 1 skins were being made (when AH1 was in development). The didn't farm the skins out to folks like they do now. He did them all.

There are more eggs than that. If I recall the booze bottle was a bottle of Jack under the seat of Boyington's corsair (but I could be wrong). That's gone now.

Ive flown the 234 a LOT. All ive seen back there are radios and other equipment...

The ones I KNOW of are the red triangle on the Ju-87, the La-7 with the Vodka, and the pistol and flask in the tower. Anyone else care to point out a bit more? Id go look for myself but my mom broke my desktop.
