Ya gotta love it...18 months out from the election and the Clintonistas are already trying to crucify poor Obama for taking money from David Geffen. True to form, Hillary remains mum while the attack dogs are unleashed in full force.
Something tells me we'll be seeing a lot of Slick Willy in Hollywood real soon :D
-
hussein is now the darling of the hollywood set. he's the best of all worlds he's black and a mohammadan.
-
this is the best part, I enjoy watching them eat each other. They beat themselves up far better than the republicans ever do ..
-
White limousine libs have been dying for a suitable black candidate to fawn over--they think Obama is the Second Coming---funny thin is ACTUAL black folks don't view him as one of 'them'
-
I expect, and willing to bet on, that Obama will NOT become the president BECAUSE of name recognition. It won't matter who or what backs him.
Oh well...
-
I agree, there is little middle ground when it comes to hussein. either you are a limpwristed gushing apologetic tree hugging freedom hating liberal in which case you love the bumpy sucker or you are a true american and will not vote for him. his wife seems to be a shrew as well.

CNN ran a short on Obama's vestimentary similarities to Ashmoujinabad.
Why not to Bin Laden while they're at it? :lol

remember that CNN is an acronym, Clinton News Network. it's to be expected they are the hatchet and bag men for the clintonites.

Prediction: Look for algore to jump into the fray mid-summer to September. The fact that he's denied wanting to be a candidate 3x now means he's made up his mind to run :lol

Ahhh but if you had to vote for either one, or the other. which of the two would you choose?
I'd take a "clean" well spoken black man over Hillary Any day of the week. ;)
-
Only possible ticket I'd even consider is Lieberman/Guilliani. I used to like McCain, who will most likely front the Republican ticket. He's just become too squirrelly for me in the last 4 years.

how good is your spanish? mas vale un mal conocidio que un bien por conocer. :aok roughly translated it's better have a known evil than someone who might possibly be good but is an unknown. it's easier to contain someone who is bad. watch what happens with pelosi.

I would never HAVE to vote for either, they'll have opponents.

Ahh but neither of you is answering the question.
If you only had the two. and had to choose either one or the other. Which would it be?

you are slow on the uptake I reckon, I did answer your question. :aok

If I had to choose I would not vote. Both are liberal socialists who feel the constitution is meant for their personal interpretation or.. to simply be ignored.
I would not vote for either of them.. they are both evil. They both want to harm my rights and use my money to do it.

One of the things that kinda bothers me is this. There have been 3 prominent black people in high positions of the govt. Obama is one, Powel another and of course Rice. It seems none of them are acceptable to the "typical black voter" from the media reports. I kind of wonder exactly what or who would be acceptable? Sharpton?!?!?!?! :O

big al for president, oh yeaa.

If he's talking about Obama, then there are a couple things I don't understand. Hussein is his middle name, right? Why put the emphasis on it, unless it's to link him to Saddam Hussein? Hillary Clinton's middle name is Diane, but he doesn't seem to be using that, so the motive is suspect. Next, why does he say he's mohammaden? He's christian. Is this ignorance or willful malice?

Right now (according to the polls I've read) the people most likely to be elected are in this order...
1. Rudi Guiliani
2. Hillary Clinton
3. Barak Obama
The really interesting thing is, all are in almost complete agreement on the hot button social issues.
I'm afraid Rudi is unelectable once his 'morals' are made known.
Y'all better get used to saying "Madam President"

I'd go with M.L.K. Too bad he's dead.

Usually there is at least one candidate in each party before the primaries who is not so bad, but that isn't enough of a party hack to get the nod.
This time around the whole field pretty much sucks.
McCain may be the lesser of 6 evils...

If morals were that important why would you vote for Hillary?
Besides who doesn't know everything about Guiliani already?

Did Hillary screw around on Bill?
I think you need to read up.
Rudy Giuliani's first wife was also his third cousin. When he divorced her, surrounded by the most sordid rumors, he quickly met up with Donna Hanover, once a newswoman in Miami, then New York. Giuliani, the on the make US Attorney, who played fast and loose with the law and who's publicity seeking indictments fell apart like a East German Trabant, was largely elected with her help. She "humanized" him, as they say.
His repayment for her support?
He took up with a ungainly young woman, Cristyne Lategano, who went from selling sneakers to alienating the NY press corps as his press aide. He was caught buying her a pricey skirt on Madison Ave, New York's Gold Coast or Rodeo Drive, by the Daily News. The second Mrs. Giuliani was none too pleased.
They say the explosion came one Father's Day, where the workaholic Giuliani and his "loyal" aide were caught by an enraged Hanover, who soon stopped using her married name. Giuliani was not particularly subtle for a married man, much less a politician. Pictures of Giuliani and his aide were everywhere, Chinese restaurants, pizza places, the common meetinghalls of New York life.
Which would have been fine, if he were single. One time, reporters saw them drink from the same can and eat from the same slice of pizza. Now, being a single man, I can only imagine the reaction my wife would have if I did that. Sharing food is an intimate act, I would think.
The relationship continued under the snickers of the media, who never informed the public that their mayor was using their money to philander on his wife. But at some point in the summer of 1999, Giuliani dumped his aide and somehow, she wound up with a job as New York City's head of the Convention and Visitor's Bureau, forcing out the previous loyalist who had been given the $250K job.
By the spring of 2000, there was a new woman in Rudy's life, Judith Nathan. She had been camoflauged in the mayor's entourage from the fall of 1999 on. No one knew who she was, at least not obviously. But, as Giulani's bout with cancer became news, Nathan, who was trained as a nurse, was seen to have been accompanying him to doctor's meetings. Meanwhile, his wife was left clueless as to her husband's new infidelity.
Yea, he's a gem.
-
I dunno, MT.
Like Mightyboy said, what don't we know about Rudy already? The drag photos? His philandering? All known. His life is an open book at this point.
Same can be said for Hillary. Not much new to learn there.
There is a change worth noting, however; Hollywood does seem to be shifting its alliance. There's an interesting article at Time.com (http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1592614,00.html?cnn=yes) related to the growing Clinton/Obama friction. A couple of quotes are very telling:
Geffen, a big fund raiser for the Clintons in the past, called Obama "inspirational" and dismissed Hillary Clinton as "overproduced and overscripted." As for her husband, Geffen suggested that his bad-boy days are not behind him: "I don't think anybody believes that in the last six years, all of a sudden Bill Clinton has become a different person." And to top it off, he said this about the two of them: "Everybody in politics lies, but they do it with such ease, it's troubling."
Ouch. Very ouch, baby.
Here's another:
Former Vice President Al Gore has privately told friends that his familiarity with the Clintons' hardball campaign style is one of the reasons he would be leery of making a run against Hillary. Geffen told Dowd he expected a brutal primary because the Clinton "machine is going to be very unpleasant and unattractive and effective."
That comes from a man who knows. What it tells me is that the left isn't so much in love with the Clintons as it is in winning, and the first time someone with a little real charisma comes around, they begin to turn their backs on the tired and tawdry tale that is the Clintons. It may be an indication of another relevant point: the left recognizes the virulent hatred conservatives feel toward Hillary personally and how unifying that hatred could damage the Democratic push for the White House.
It's a calculated risk either way.

Still looking to hear what Storch meant above, buddy, you still in this thread?
-
Obama, BTW, has already been associated with an Illinois dealmaker (of the under indictment kind) and apparenty has already had some questionable and personally beneficial land dealings.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/12/16/AR2006121600729.html
He is just a typical politician (and apparently already in the Chicago/Illinois mold at that) who has not stated an original position any more than your typical mainstream Democrat or Republican steps from the party line. All "fresh" talk, same old hack crap.

Well, MT, now I'm confused. You defend a man like Cassanova Clinton who's marital infidelities and sexual peccadilloes are well known and documented BUT....you find Rudy Guiliani distasteful because of his unfaithfulness?
Would you kindly explain why you find one more palatable than the other? :huh
-
I don't.
I'm just saying it will kill Rudy's chances.
-
And people wonder why I'm a Republican....
Actually, that was just a stab. To be perfectly honest, there is no such thing as a scrupulus politician. All of them have played down and dirty. I've reconcilled myself to that and vote the "party line", and the republicans party line follows my beliefs on how the country should be run.
Just remember ALL politicians have screwed someone, not just Billy-boy C.

Why don't we as Voters.....sit the next one out.

Hehe...if you think voters chose the President.....there once....in a far away land..(Fairy Tale). After all the money is donated to candidates who will favorably suit the needs ( Oil, defense Contractors etc.) You'll get to vote for who gets the best financing. That's what it comes down to most often. Now...since only the ones that have the best backing (financing) win Primaries that's who you will get to chose from.
After all....they've done such a wonderful job....Congress was in session a full 65 days last year.......and they voted themselves another raise!
Lewis Black said it best. "When you voted in the last Presidential Election you had a choice between two bowls of dung."
Amazing eh? two possible puppets selected to run for President. (Seeing as how both were such dynamic leaders) previous to the election.<--being facitious. It is to laugh.
-
It is the system we have. You either participate in it or you do not.
Now, if you want to sit on the outside and complain be my guest, but I tend to ignore the opinions of non-voters. :)
-
Vote....for a predetermined candidate elected in Primaries with the most Financial backing.
Don't you think it odd.....that we had the choices of G. Bush and Wm. Clinton, then Al Gore and GW........then GW and J. Kerry.
Whoa....dynamic and great leadership in those instances. It is very humorous that those were the best America had to offer. It's a pity we had none better to run for the Office. The rest of the World probably laughed out loud and said "Who?"
Who knows? Maybe the standards of the modern day voter have been lowered! I mean I hope that is the case and it's not a lack of the obvious.
You have my permission to vote for me.....the last 12 years have been horrible, don't think they can get much worse.
Oh! Since you have my permission please try to find someone running that has Leadership Qualities......they've been missing for a goodwhile;)

Your right, but they do think of Bill as one of 'them'... funny, isn't it.
They'll be backing Hillary
-
I've heard it'll cost about $90,000,000 per candidate btwn now and nov 08.
That right there narrows the field to just a few who are in bed with special interest groups willing to shell out the dough in an attempt to place their stooge in the WH.
-
<--- willing to lend Hajo $90,000,000.00
Cash or check?

Hillary Clinton was out jogging one morning along the parkway when she tripped, fell over the bridge railing and landed in the creek below. Before the Secret Service guys could get to her, 3 kids who were fishing pulled her out of the water. She was so grateful she offered the kids whatever they wanted.
The first kid said, "I want to go to Disneyland." Hillary said, "No problem, I'll take you there on my special Senator's airplane." The second kid said, "I want a new pair of Nike Air Jordan's." Hillary said, "I'll get them for you and even have Michael sign them!!" The third kid said, "I want a motorized wheelchair with a built in TV and stereo headset!" Hillary was a little perplexed by this and said, "But you don't look like you're handicapped."
The kid said, "I will be after my dad finds out I saved your bellybutton from drowning."
:p :D

Disagree. It will be hilarious to watch each state move it's primary up in order to be more "Important" to the primary process.
Count on it, pretty soon one state will have it's primary elections in November of 07. Probably a state that was one of the first in the last election. Like New Hampshire.
