the option to set the keyboard for rudder control is gone under the joystick setup module. How can i set the rudder to be controlled by the "A S D" keys?
-
I am having the same problem. Before there was a box to click that would disable the joystick rudder input. Where did that box go now? I am having a hard time staying level when I go to guns in a bomber now because of my stupid twisting rudder stick.
HELP!!!

Fliteman,
The keyboard rudder keys are mapped under the keyboard mapping option. It is not a joystick function. Go into setup/keyboard mapping and in the flight section you should see the a,s,d keys mapped for left, center, right. If they are not you can change it.
Sometimes someone will go in and remap a key not realizing that when they do they may be changing an existing mapped function.
As long as your keyboard works and you don't have a joystick rudder input then this should take care of your problem. If you have either a set of rudder pedals or a twist grip joystick setup then they won't work because the joystick will take precedence.
Hope this helps.

Sling,
Go into setup/joysticks then click on select joystick. When that window comes up you should see your joystick highlighted in the center column. On the left column there is a list of AH functions. Choose "rudder". On the right column there is a list of joystick inputs. Select "none". After doing this click on "Apply". I think that should take care of your problem.

Thanks Mark - I got it last night. HiTech was in the main arena and helped me out. I was just coming back to offer my help to Fliteman. I think he was having the same problem I was. Anyway...try what MarkAT suggested Fliteman....it worked for me.
