Title: Subimitting films to HTC
Post by: fireplug1111 on February 24, 2007, 11:10:06 AM
Today Myself and a few other guys seen a 190 warp  in the Mid War. Odd thing is that it only happened when he was shot at. I recorded it and then viewed it from my plane and then his plane. At one time when he was shot at he went underground and flew back out like it wasnt even there. I would like to send this to HTC and have thier opnion on it. It sure looked like a moden warper to me.

I just need to know how to send it to them.

Fireplug,

Make sure to zip the film prior to sending it in.  They can be quite large.  For example, I made a 1 minute and 40 second film on landing.  It was over 2 megs.

Thanks ... my question was rhetorical ... and he spelled moden ... not modern.

"moden" or a "modem" warper ... I was really trying to get a definition of xxxx warper.

Exactly what is a modem warper ... technically, not speculatively ?

I believe most that use that term have absolutely no clue as to what it is, how it occurs, and if it is really possible.

I believe that it is generally used by those who see people warp and believe that they are warping on purpose and have heard others use the "term" and then feel the need to shout it out to the world.

Well back in Air Warrior, when Cable and DSL started getting popular, there were some "fishy" warps. Then someone came up with the idea "Hey, maybe they're pullin' the cable."

Some of the AirWarrior cast and crew tested this theory, and found out, that while they can't prove it, that this was a likely answer to the warps that were noticed when a plane was shot at.

I don't know if it works the same way here, as it did in there, but whenever someone pulls that stupid plug, the game recognizes the last location/coarse that the plane was on, until that plug is plugged back in to update the new location/coarse.

It's extremely lame, and people that are caught doing this IMO should be gone. But like Kesmai, I'm sure HTC will have a hard time actually proving that is what's being done.

Now in some of the accused defense.. people say "Only time he/she warped was when I was shooting at them!" Well let me ask you.. is it possible for them to be warping the whole time (bad connection) and you not notice it until you start shooting at him since probably 85% of the AH community probably only notices planes that are shooting at? How often are you focused on a plane that is more that 1k out, to see if they are warping or not?

You will always have you "win at all costs" losers that will do anything to say "I beat you". It's to the point now, especially when I see what I might suspect being "moden warpings" :lol I just shake my head, and laugh. Yeah, it ticks me off, but what can anyone actually do about it?

film it , e-mail it in, let HC sort it out.  If nothing else perhaps they can work out some problems with a problem ISP.  If it is a Modem warper , well, I'm sure HiTech Creations gets rid of them.

And which is?

Or is that since you don't see any announcements you've come to the conclusion that nothing is happening?

So does not taking an overly obvious hint.

But don't let that stop you.
Keep poking the bear, then we can witness the birth of nexus70 through  nexus80.
Or however many incarnations it does take you to get the hint.

This one has run its course.  Simple answer is to send the films to support@hitechcreations.com.
