Post by: MrSpanky on February 24, 2007, 09:28:45 PM
I'm trying to figure out what I need to make this setup work.

Cable (no cable box)
HDTV (Westinghouse) with no built in tuner
PC with HIS Radeon X800XL HDTV & TV Out, DVI-I, Dual VGA (http://www.hisdigital.com/html/product_ov.php?id=151&view=yes)

You will need some kind of tuner for tv - set top, cable box, DVR or a PCI tv tuner and/or PVR for your PC.  You already have what you need for a monitor.  If you need a DVI or DVI-->HDMI cable I suggest monoprice.com.

S-video should work

you could connect s-video to VCR and go with composite to TV, or s-video to vcr and coaxial antenna cable from there but quality wont be so good
