The story is true, but I believe the video was faked for television after the fact.

Faked?  Faked?!

Are you sure that's the right word to use to describe a re-enactment?  Next, you'll tell me that the footage in that Civil War documentary I watched was faked.  Then you'll tell me that they faked the footage in Apollo 13.
