27th Fighter Squadron F-22 Raptor taking off from runway 8R, Honolulu International Airport, several saturdays ago. I was fortunate enough to be given a tour of one of these birds during their stay in Hawaii. This was the last batch to leave, with 4 F-22s, 3 KC-10As, and 2 KC-135s.

Part of the group of Raptors whose electronics were not able to handle crossing the International Date Line heading west?
That was a classic SNAFU. Howled when I heard the report. Did not envy the pilots though. To have your electronics pack it in when in the middle of the Pacific; not a good day.

Gotta be kidding right? Been all over the news, and I suspect this week's "AvLeak" will have a story on it as well. This military movement is past tense and history.
