Anyone seen this yet?
Easily the funniest film I've seen in years - better than Shaun of the Dead, in many ways. I just love how they rip the piss out of English village life and make it look like Die Hard. Pure comic genius.
-
It's out??? OMG i can't wait to see this movie... Shaun of the Dead is easily my favorite Romantic Comedy / Zombie Apocalypse movie EVER! :aok :aok :aok
-
its out already? I saw the trailer last sunday when I went to see Ghostrider (good flick btw) I think I read somewhere Hot Fuzz was released in Europe this month and we get it next month.... cant wait to see it. looked like it was going to be funnier than Shaun of the Dead.
"brought to you by the guys that have watch every action movie ever made"

i saw the trailer. i might see the movie, but im disappointed that this director didn't continue with the zombie genre. He had obvious zombie movie skills as seen in "Shaun" but he focused a little too much on the humor in that movie.
The best recipie for a zombie movie that really reaches out and grabs you is having top notch zombie characters with a freaky story line, but also having a mostly serious treatment with interludes of humor mixed in with freaky stuff. like the motorcycle gang having a field day in the mall in Day of the Dead, or blasting little ankle biter zombies with a 12 ga. or going into a mosque and finding a bunch of Islamist zombies that need to be put out of their misery.
i thought the world was ready for a really genuinely good zombie movie that scares the crap out of you and stimulates all the fantasies of having to live in a world where the dead rise and have to be dealt with, but guess not.

I've just seen the Fuzz and I am completely hooked!
Great movie... And equally as good as Shaun of the Dead.
:aok :aok :aok
Go see this movie! And tell your friends! Unless we get enough people seeing it we'll be stuck with crap fest flicks like 'Pearl Harbor' and well... 'Pearl Harbor'
Do yourself and your country (USA) a favor and see this movie...

*My take: It's a cross between - Beverly Hills Cop, Point Break, Shaun of the Dead, Bad Boys, and the British television series Faulty Towers.

Awesome film.
-
Seen it... loved it. :)
Like Fawlty Towers as directed by Jerry Bruckheimer. :aok
No zombies, but all of the deaths had that same sorta twisted humor to them.

After you see it... post a comment here. This movie is too good to let it slip away. :aok

well I finally got to see it last weekend. good movie, I definitely will get the Dvd when its released. Its different than "Shaun" though. Cant put my finger on it, just different some how. More Monty Pythonish than "Shaun"
Are there any questions?
Is it true that there's a point on a man's head where if you shoot it, it will blow up?
The devils in the details. If you never watched any of the action movies from the 80's and 90's then you'll miss part of this movie. Scenes and camera angles were used excatly like those movies. The gun battle in the supermarket is great
What's the situation?
Two blokes and a **** load of cutlery!
Well, I wouldn't argue that it wasn't a no holds barred, adrenaline fueled thrill ride. But, there is no way you can perpetrate that amount of carnage and mayhem and not incur a considerable amount of paperwork.

I wanted to see it, but its out of theatres already :(
