Title: Light Blue screen...tried FAQ (help me)
Post by: jblasco on August 11, 2001, 06:14:00 PM
OK, I am stumped.  I have a new machine running Win 2k, AMD 1.4 Mhz, Ali chipset, ASUS A7A266 MB, 512 DDR ram, Nvidia GeForce 3 (latest driver), DirectX 8.0

I run AH and get a light blue screen, with NO symbol in lower corner, just plain blue.  Tried all display options (all resolutions & 16 thru 32 bits).  Video driver is the lastest greatest.  I have even tried to adjust some of the settings on the display adapter (acceleration, antialiasing, open GL) but nothing gets rid of the screen.  I am not sure what to do next.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Try uninstalling AH.  You will also have to manually delete the settings directory it leaves behind.  Now reinstall and see if the problem still occurs.  (You are trying the full version and not the beta right? )

I'm thinking you may have a corrupted download or your video card drivers are not installed correctly.

Was doing that to me couple of days ago, was because I had default monitor installed by Win2k instead of Plug n Play or Manufacturer monitor driver.  Installed Manufacturer driver for my monitor and then worked fine?
